If this is all it is, it just begs another question: Why is the Democratic Party is worried about losing when their candidate comes across as old, but the Republican Party isn’t when their candidate seemed to encourage Jan 6th, is under several investigations, and is almost in the same cognitive boat?

The policies you speak of will be abortion on demand, with the possibility of infanticide. I doubt Nazi Germany has killed more innocent people than what is happening to unborn babies.
Borders will be non existent. Come any come all.
The Supreme Court would be packed
DA's will allow more criminals to be free to do harm
More leftest Federal judges to prosecute political enemies
More green energy wasted billions while gas and coal are further reduced
More regulations that create more inflation

I think Biden will be forced out behind the scenes.

Key words "seemed" " Investigations" "almost". By the way Trump isn't almost in the same cognitive boat, Biden's boat sank long ago, if anything Trumps may have sprung a leak but he is still high and dry.

Trump's MAGA sycophants continue to back him as he personifies and energizes the direction they want the country to go. The overwhelming number of unprincipled Republican lawmakers who joined and support him did so out of weakness and fear of losing their own political office as Trump's racist filled rhetoric gained popularity among people motivated by anger, fear, and resentment. Trump gained and retains his popularity by speaking out and continuing to speak what they are afraid to speak. His age and his cognitive slippages do not matter as he mostly stays on task driving the country the direction his followers want it to go. His massive support propels a political machine that appears unstoppable.

Lack of confidence in Biden increases in proportion to his very public cognitive missteps heavily scrutinized and reported on a regular basis. He is discernibly weak, and his ability to lead his campaign and competently function another term as president is doubtful. Responsible Democrats recognize this and acknowledge the necessity to select a viable candidate to replace him. We the people need a leader to inspire confidence in our future.

Hoping, expecting Biden would be a one term placed holding president, I voted for him last election, expecting he would step aside as more competent and qualified R and D candidates emerged to pull us back from the edge of self destruction. I don't know what I will do in November if the situation continues as is.

To date afaik, only 5 Democrat lawmakers have publicly called for Biden to withdraw. Adam Frisch, the current Democrat candidate for the 3rd district who narrowly lost to Boebert last election, so close that she ran over the Hill to run in the 4th congressional district for fear of losing to him once again, has also called for Biden to withdraw.

According to Nate Silver, and others, he was losing before the debate. He had to debate. They did it earlier than it's ever been done before to give him a chance to drop out. You have to acknowledge that they saw the possibility he would be someone coherent with a week to prepare and plenty of rest. After all, They have fooled the public for 3 1/2 years.
It's fun watching the liberals here . They like to come across as intellectually superior but they bought it hook, line and sinker.
If you are a betting man you can good odds.
I thought I was missing something. Harris is the only other option. She's the one they voted to replace Joe if he couldn't fulfill his term. Plus, the Democrat party wouldn't exist without identity politics. They are just going to pass over a black female who is next in line? I don't understand politics but I am confident that would be a disaster.
According to Nate Silver, and others, he was losing before the debate. He had to debate. They did it early because they knew this could happen.

I can't buy that they intentionally led him to slaughter. They fooled most people for 3 1/2 years. They probably hoped that with a week to prepare and plenty of rest they could con us one more time.

I've heard enough liberals express concern that I suspected he was losing it but I had no idea how bad it was. They fooled me too.
Biden said yesterday in his interview that he could live with Trump winning as long as he did his goodest (sic). So either Biden is the worst POTUS in history and a horrible human being or he doesn't believe that Trump is an existential threat to the republic.

To iterate, Biden has been briefed on everything concerning 1/6. He is okay with Trump winning.

Up to 5. My wild guess is that this will be 25 by next weekend.

Rep. Angie Craig Becomes 5th House Democrat To Call On Biden To Step Down

Rep. Angie Craig (D-Minn.) on Saturday became the fifth Democratic member of Congress to call on Joe Biden to drop out of the race following his disastrous performance in last week’s presidential debate against Donald Trump.

In a lengthy statement, the congresswoman extolled Biden’s “decades of service” and legislative accomplishments, such as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the CHIPS and Science Act, before urging him to make way for “a new generation of leaders.”

“I do not believe that the President can effectively campaign and win against Donald Trump,” Craig wrote Saturday. “This is not a decision I’ve come to lightly, but there is simply too much at stake to risk a second Donald Trump presidency.

“That’s why I respectfully call on President Biden to step aside.”

pure emotion. What policies have you favored over the years to decrease abortion?

which candidates have you voted for who promised to pursue polices to reduce abortion? Who are they & what were their policies?

or you just want to make it illegal as if that would magically work?

The one exception is for the life of the mother. Not an emotion, it's called conviction.

I would favor any legislation that would help by increasing adoption.

No, but wouldn't it be great if it could be the guy who enacted a criminal conspiracy to overturn an election and watched while the Capitol Building was desecrated and hundreds of police officers were beaten?

The cultists' support for a criminal traitor will never cease to amaze me.

No the basis of my conviction is human life is sacred, holy, and precious. We were created in the image of God. There can be no doubt that a new biological human life is created at conception. Everyone has been a human embryo. Notice the words of God here in Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” God was referring to the prophet Jeremiah. In Psalm 139, the Psalmist praises God whom he says “created my inmost being … [and] knit me together in my mother’s womb”. The life of Jesus Christ on earth began when he “was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary”. The incarnation began with the virginal conception and not in the manger in Bethlehem. Incarnation when God became man in the person of Jesus.

No need for revisionist history. Many lefties were not sold on Biden in 2020 and have pined for a better candidate from then til now.

B/C I am in favor of policies that reduce abortions?

That we can agree. I would love to see more done in the area of adoption so that babies could be given to loving families verses aborting them.

Have to agree. Turnout among Dems will still be higher than it would have been given abortion is on the ballot in many states. Highly doubt it will make up the difference.

    Lost Adam Schiff.

"Joe Biden's running against a criminal," Schiff said. "It should not be even close, and there's only one reason it is close, and that's the president's age."

Pointing to the president's clumsy debate night performance last month, Schiff told Welker that Biden's demeanor "rightfully" raised questions about whether he "has the vigor" to defeat his Republican rival.

"This is not just about whether he gave it the best college try, but rather whether he made the right decision to run or pass the torch," he said. "That is the most important decision for him to make right now."

Elsewhere in the interview, the congressman told Welker he thinks Democrats would be in good hands if Vice President Kamala Harris became the party's candidate, saying she has "the experience, the judgment, the leadership ability to be an extraordinary president."
