I was at UF from the fall of '69 until 3/73 when I got my degree. Lived there until October '75. Went to a bunch of Mudcrutch jams at their farm. Their original drummer, Randall Marsh, grew up in the same town as me and he & his family went to the same church our family did. It was a great and crazy time, no doubt. Stephen Stills has Gainesville ties and has a house there now not too far from the football stadium off 8th Ave. His song "Treetop Flyer" may have been about the guy you knew.
But it is something much different about her that totally grabbed me. Not her stats, which are incomparable. The way she plays the game. Excellent speed. Runs the bases with Skylar's balls to the wall method. She doesn't swing for the fences. Never. That short, compact, beautiful swing just trying to make solid contact. Will go oppo more than pulling it and she is fully capable of pulling it if that was her approach. First player I have seen in many years who has a swing that totally reminds me of Amanda...and now Jocey.
Yep. Treetop Flyer always rang a bell with me that did not for most. And I had been at Tom's farm a couple times.

Because she is Kinzie Hansen from OU. I am certainly glad Jocey came here and Hansen probably is, too. Patty would not have given Jocey the chance, but she is better.
