On Independence Day, the NYT posted a story by what was presented as an independent 20-something entitled, "I don't vote and you shouldn't either." Outside of how gross this was to post on July 4th, there were a few problems with it. First, the author is a member of a group heavily involved in the events of J6. Second, he voted in 2020 and 2022. The NYT publisher is still butthurt that Biden won't do a sit-down interview with the paper and they have been pounding the drumbeat about Biden's age to punish him for it and now this.

Wouldn’t a newspaper like the NYT get many more submissions than they could publish? Unless people are just lazy these days or this guy is a prolific submitter, I would assume they are choosing from any number of “letters to the editor”. But technically even if there weren’t many submissions, it’s still always choice to publish anything at all. The editor could say “oh, I see you were involved in 1/6 and not independent at all. That’s a lie. Try submitting with Breitbart”. It’s as simple as that.
