Don't think so. Doesn't look like her and according to the box score Coffel is #21. This is some number in the teens but I don't see anything in the box scores that could match that so, other than not Coffel, I can't figure out who it might be.
I think it is Taryn Kern. Looks much like this pic: Taryn Kern - USA Softball Edit: Yep, Kern is #12 and, while cut off, I'll bet that's the number in the pic.
Every day I log into this forum, hoping for good news about Nijaree Canady. I'm starting to feel like Charlie Brown and the football. I appreciate all the offense coming that y'all have pointed out, but I'd still like to see a lights out pitcher join the team.
NCAA Softball Pitching analysis site is saying they have insider info that Nadji is a Gator. Could it be? Edited.
According to this article, Holtorf was the #4 player in the portal and Cahalan was the #8 player in the portal. Not bad for an already loaded team. If we get the #1 portal player, Katie bar the door!!! College softball transfer portal player rankings for 2024 offseason
Rumors, rumors, rumors, that's all I see in these reports. Not going to get my hopes up on rumors like those on reddit.
Yep, there's a pretty big reddit thread saying that someone else has heard Texas Tech is the destination after offering $1 mil! Personally, I am not as excited for her to come to Florida. We have great pitchers and more coming in, I feel like we might lose some players if we gain Canady but that's just me.
I'm with you. I really like her as a player but she wouldn't come without a price, both from the pockets and the locker room
I do not think any of them would transfer. Keagan and Ava are strong-willed women who would not retreat from a challenge. Liv and her parents love UF and Gators with their whole hearts, even though she did not pitch a lot. I wonder about that since she threw 2 perfect games, albeit against lesser competition. But, to that point, no one else did. CCD said they broke down her delivery and changed her mechanics, so that may still be a work in progress. I am hoping that SVP (not Scott Van Pelt) will come in and make progress with all our pitchers. She seems to be a fireball, which I like. For the record, I thought CCD did a good job this past year. Evidently, some personality issues caused her to leave. My ideal, as if that means much, would be to make Liv and Hammon relievers and Red the third starter. I do not know much about Hammond's style, but she does have decent stats. Liv, with her changeup and other pitches and them pitching from opposite sides could be formidable. It will be interesting to know what the rest of you think. P.S. Someone on the board suggested we use 4 initials for Prothro. VanBrakle is one word, so SVP seems logical to me.
