I'm interested in hearing the thoughts of people on Kamala Harris. In particular, the thoughts and rationale of those who have a strong opinion of her. I'll start. I have a generally favorable opinion of her because she seems to be pretty intelligent. BUT....I'll qualify that my opinion is at least partially or largely based on perceptions, since I am not as knowledgeable about her as some are. So I don't have a tremendously strong opinion, and I'm open to learning more. Again, let's provide logical substantiations where possible please. TIA.
When Biden picked her she seemed like an OK pick. But after that she just seems to have flailed in her role, not really being able to gain respect from staff, and putting out kind of an overall fake vibe. She just didn’t come across as very substantive. But I realize a lot of that is form over substance. Plus it is hard to create a political identity as VP. I’m willing to give her a second chance. I think she could potentially remake herself and her potential candidacy on the abortion issue. I still think Gretchen Whitmer has more upside.
I'd have a lot more respect for her if she would invoke the 25th Amendment to get that asshole Biden out of the White House and thereby, hopefully, keep that asshole Trump out of the same.
OK. I’ll bite. Trump was able to do his shameful deeds because of his station in life. Kamala did her alleged shameful deeds to improve her station in life. Both are unfavorable actions but they happened for opposite intent.
In part because her relationship helped fuel her early political ambitions and thus calls into question her ability. BTW she has not done much to impress by your own admission. There’s also a million memes about Trump’s philandering ways and much has been made about. It’s hardly something that’s been ignored by MSM, should it be ignored because she is a woman?
Kamala's "shameful deed" was dating an older man who separated from his wife over a decade before that. Some folks are just unserious. (Not directed at you, Cron. I saw the "alleged" in your post.)
There is really nothing to love or hate with Kamala. The personal things are laughable considering the alternative. I most certainly don’t get jazzed up by her. But she seems sane. I guess I’ll be a one-issue voter, again. Sanity is it.
I haven't heard anything bad about her other than what right wingers spew. This tells me that she is probably the right person for the job
That’s the problem with Kamala. She doesn’t inspire. I’m sure she’s intelligent there’s nothing that makes me want to vote for her, just against the other guy.
This is true of all VP’s, except maybe Dick Cheney. The VP is supposed to be there to support the President. Not to undercut or go around the President. Plus I’m sure she can spell potato. That’s more than enough at this stage.
Last two Presidents had 25th amendment concerns (and in fact Mike Pence was likely acting as President at the end even without an official transfer of powers) Ain’t it grand?
Is that how you normally react to women who are more educated and brighter than you or just "certain" women?? Has she raped anyone? Your MAGA hat has destroyed any sense of proportion you used to have. Has she raped anyone? Your MAGA hat has destroyed any sense of proportion you used to have.
You think she's getting a break because she's a woman? Imagine if a woman with Trump's sexual past tried to run for a top office? Bragging about all the partners she had. In this case, she had an affair. So let's accuse her of giving lots of blow jobs, right? That's childish, and yes sexist, crap. I deleted the blowjob meme, just as I've done before. They're inappropriate. Just like they would be if they were about Melania or Nikki Haley or whoever.
