https://www.wsj.com/politics/electi...-worries-grow-wsj-poll-finds-c3a793ab?mod=mhp Donald Trump has opened a 6-point lead over President Biden among voters nationally, with 80% saying that the president is too old to run for a second term, a new Wall Street Journal poll finds. Democrats show significant discontent with Biden as their nominee. Some 76% say he is too old to run this year, or about the same share as Republicans who hold that view. Two-thirds of Democrats would replace Biden on the ballot with another nominee.
He never should have announced for the second term. Damn flashing signs weren’t enough. How Kamala is suddenly popular is beyond me, I guess she isn’t Donald.
It’s pretty simple. Saying “we should replace the guy that no one particularly likes in the first place” is low risk, high reward. By contrast, saying “we should replace the guy that 40% of our party voters are entirely infatuated with” is a good way to make a whole bunch of voters you need stay home and get wiped out up and down ballot.

I’m the nominee of the Democratic Party. No one’s pushing me out. I’m not leaving.”
Arizona congressman Raul Grijalva is the second representative to call for Biden to drop out. The dam is leaking…
This isn’t true, saying “no one likes Biden”. He won the primary in 2020. He’s well liked. He has a 75% approval rating with Dems. I bet at least 40% of Dems really like Biden as a person and the president, too … but would vote for someone else if he decided to quit. There is no excuse for the republicans to continue to act like Trump is an acceptable leader.
One of those trial ballon’s to see what public sentiment is. Internal pollsters making bank right now.
I mean 80% of voters including 78% of Democrats think he is too old. Biden thinks we should just ignore that?
It's telling that he hasn't had a cognitive exam, or has, but declines to inform the American voters of the results.
If you don’t want to know something you don’t look for it, that way you can deny knowing there is a problem.
