Gas prices were $2.00 to $2.50 during the 2020 Covid lockdown and this is what Trump told the Saudis at the time.

What would a gallon of gas cost without the trillions in subsidies every year?

Gas prices shot up 20 to 30 cents in a day where I'm at in florida. Quick search hasn't shown any reasons just yet but I'm assuming the holiday, heat and whatever scare tactic like the hurricane or whatever political turmoil.

$3.23 to $3.59 overnight yet it took weeks of a slow gradual decline prior.

Gas Prices Rise Ahead of July 4th Holiday Weekend - Headlight.news

Prices at the gas pump remained uncharacteristically flat through the first month of the summer season, but that’s changed with the looming Independence Day holiday weekend. The national average rose to $3.50 a gallon — up 5 cents and it may continue.
