Not a bad thing at all.. as long as you don’t mind all sides taking pot shots at you.
Some may even claim your not a real American if you aren’t really on one of the main political aisles hook line and sinker!

Yeah, I was referring to 3 years post completion. Not during the dev/construction process. I'm a GC so I'm typically builder and developer. I don't know everything, but I know a fair amount about construction, RE, and associated taxes.

I'm always willing to learn about things i don't know, but i don't know why people on here have to be so rude. I didn't post anything to warrant a "try to think before you post" comment.

A constitutional amendment was made to allow income taxes. Otherwise any federal tax has be apportioned relative to the states, or something like that.

Now some democrats have called for a tax on annual increase in wealth - which could be argued as a form of income - mostly likely would be decided by the Supreme Court (and given this court they’d probably strike it down)

You are correct those other forms of wealth taxes like property taxes are state based. The state of Florida once had an intangibles tax, which included a tax on stock and similar holdings but it was poorly enforced and they finally repealed it.

In defense of Joe Biden’s performance… it wasn’t in his 6 hour window of peak performance.

    https://www.axios.com/2024/06/29/two-bidens-trump-debate-2024-president

    • From 10am to 4pm, Biden is dependably engaged — and many of his public events in front of cameras are held within those hours.
    • Outside of that time range or while traveling abroad, Biden is more likely to have verbal miscues and become fatigued, aides told Axios.

Ha ha. That explains it. Oddly the two worst traits from both parties. Socially liberal and fiscally conservative seems the sweet spot. You missed on both. lol.

I didn't watch the debate and I am not interested in watching video clips. I would never vote for a rapist or do anything to get a rapist elected by voting for someone else. I out family and our country first. God bless the American Patriots who see through the con and God bless Joe Biden

And there you go folks. Bully tactic i mentioned elsewhere.

NOT voting for Trump is still somehow "getting him elected" and "supporting a rapist".

(Hint, thats why we AREN'T voting for him.)

Why does a person's feelings towards you or the person you choose to vote have an effect on who you choose to vote for? Deplorables will vote for Trump regardless of what others think and I will vote for Biden regardless of what deplorables think.

It has no effect, so I wonder why some here spend so much energy trying to create guilt.

When you say that NOT voting for Trump is still in some way supporting Trump and you toss around terms like supporting rape, you are clearly trying to create an emotional response.

What other purpose then impact voting.

Bully tactic? The post didn't mention you at all. It was just a guy expressing his opinion.

Both of your quotes are flat out wrong. Your persecution complex is showing again.

I'm actually going to chime in with my (as meaningless as any other) opinion, and I don't mean it to be antagonistic.

I think people may have been addressing you to a large extent out of respect.

Specifically; IMO they may think that perhaps you don't recognize the threat Trump poses as fully as should be, and they address you because you are not a straight Trumpy/Trumpublican deplorable, and thus you may be brought to realize the true threat of Trump, which in many people's opinions requires nothing less than the most likely vote to avoid a Trump presidency.

But I don't need to be part of the conversation - apologies for opining if necessary. And not trying to be offensive. (Here, anyways. :) )

Did I say he mentioned me?

I said telling people (i.e. any person) who wont vote for Trump that they are still supporting a rapist by voting for "someone else" is a bully tactic. It is a typically narrow-minded and intolerant perspective.

    *Emphasis added for help.

Fair. And asking the question is not out of bounds. The emphatic declarations that some make are however.

Let me clarify for those unfamiliar with how this has all transpired for me...

The mistake many make is they think my motivation is to keep him from being elected or to try and get someone else elected etc That is actually lower on my list than one might think.

My vote is a vote of conscience. I vote for or choice to abstain, based on personal conviction.

IF you are a new poster you will not recall the thread I started in 2019 where I abandoned the Republican party by affiliation and Trump out of disgust. Others quickly joined in the thread agreeing and we sort of became the RINO whipping boys by some on the extreme right but nowhere near good enough for those on the extreme left. (Oh well. :))I discussed at the time having an epiphany seeing my daughters (then 16 and 14) paying closer attention to such things and not being able to remotely explain a vote for Trump to them with good conscience. Those amazing girls are now young woman of 20 and 18. They will vote themselves. Between my wife, my girls and myself, we likely cost Trump FOUR votes because I could have tried to steer them towards a vote for the deplorable candidate that my former party set forth for now a 3rd time. I instead had enough and wanted to teach our daughters (and show my wife) that their value as women was more important than beating a Democrat in an election. By 1000 percent. Heck. I think at least 2 of those will lean Biden's way (as younger voters often do) over Trump. Though my 18yr old says she may abstain from the POTUS vote. They both lament how their first chance leaves them with terrible choices.

I say all of that to say this: My choice is much more helpful to Biden than it is Trump, because I am a -1 vote for Trump and maybe a -4 votes at our house from what it would have been had I never jumped ship and they followed my lead.

Now ..my almost 14 year old son is watching. He will be eligible to vote in 2028. Teaching him the value of women is also a main priority in our home. I wont pull the lever for anyone who doesnt have the same level of concern in that regard.

THAT is the main reason why I will never vote for him.

Ehh . . . despite the fact that the poster wrote nothing about you or even to you

You took it personally, imo, as you are wont to do.

By calling out a post? How do you recommend one does that if the way i did it was insufficient? And I ask that genuinely to you Davis as someone on the left that I respect.

But you guys should call that stuff down on your side. His accusation is terrible.

There are some of us that call the fringe stuff down on the right. But I dont see it a lot on your side.

    Why is that?

You see, the post you refer to wasn't an accusation. Read the post again. I wouldn't be critical toward you if this was a one off. As for my recommendation, you could call out the post w/o misquoting it, w/o misinterpreting it, and w/o taking it personally.

At some level now I can understand not voting for Biden now (certainly not Trump). At this point I am angry at Biden, his wife and sycophants putting his desires and ambition over the good of the country.

If he is the candidate I will still likely vote for him but I won’t be happy about it.

    What did i misinterpret?
Where did I ever say it was about me exclusively?
And where did I "misquote it"?
