There are more than a few conservatives on this very thread that don’t support Trump. There are conservatives all over the country that don’t support Trump. There are lots and lots of conservatives that are embarrassed and horrified at Ian 6th. You can stop painting all conservatives with that broad brush…

 

The real issue is that from the very beginning of his political life, the MSM has normalized all of Trump's racism, crimes and cruelty as just, "Look at ole wacky Trump. Isn't he cute?"

 

No the issue is that clearly Biden isn’t anywhere near cognitively normal, now that doesn’t mean he should be put in a nursing home but he certainly should be in the WH at this point.

 

Good thing Biden has never said anything about aviation during his political career. No way the MSM would over look it or claim he meant something else or just ignore it.

 

The same argument can be made for Trump with his adderal, cocaine and benzo addictions. At least Biden knows that airlines don't use solar powered electric planes like Trump thinks.

Trumps performance was also mostly just the a same ‘ol word salad and nonsensical garbage. But as far as the debate stage, he said his garbage with confidence. Whereas Biden appeared feeble and confused.

 

Yes of course they did. No different than what they have been doing for years in favor of the Democratic Party. Like Hunters laptop and a long list of things they only report truths when they have no choice.

 

Why can't people understand that he was reading a teleprompter? He was reading his State of the Union, which Democrats raved about. Can Biden still yell and make sense when he's reading? Of course! Don't give him something to read and you've seen what you get. And it's of his own choosing to be a pathetic embarrassment, no one is making him do it. And letting Trump waltz back into the White House will be Joe Biden's legacy.

 

Here’s the difference;

With Trump (or Bush, Dole, W, McCain(once the primaries were over),Romney) it’s “sources say” and then the accusations are repeated as fact 1,000s of times in the echo chamber of legacy media. Then weeks to months later it it found to be untrue. Legacy media acknowledges the error ONCE, and it’s never mentioned again.

With Biden (or Clinton, Gore, Kerry, Obama, Hillary) it is denied 1000,s of times in the echo chamber. Then weeks or months later when it is confirmed, the errors are reported ONCE and never mentioned again.

The media will also tell us at times that things can’t be confirmed or refuted. They also don’t tell us that they’re not trying to confirm or refute.

Of course there have been a few widely scattered exceptions to MO over the years, but they are clearly exceptions.

Well he was accused of being the leader of a crime family which turned out to not be true

He was accused of having an open border policy which also turned out to not be true.

He was accused of cutting off our oil production which also turned out to not be true

He was accused of stealing the election which turned out to not be true

 

Biden does not have mental health issues. That’s what everybody else has. He has competency issues.

But again, it’s his policies Americans ought to be voting on and not just merely against another person.

 

The issue is this Trump is the same old Trump.
Biden is not, for the last year we have heard that Biden is great and that his speaking “missteps” aren’t any different than they always have been. Thursday night showed the world that’s not the case anyone trying to ignore it is just fooling themselves.

The many posters here have been ripping the MAGA types for still supporting Trump, let’s see if they are so harsh for those who still think Biden has the cognitive and physical fortitude to be POTUS for 4 more years. Otherwise that tribe is just as bad as the other tribe.

Sure one might try to argue Trump is worse for the country than Biden for any number of legitimate reasons.

It's actually impossible to process Trump's firehose of lies and reply properly in an unmoderated debate.

CNN was taken over by Trump supporters awhile back and this format was set up to tee up Biden for Trump's style.

 

Biden is worse for the country, no matter which political persuasion you hold. He can’t act as Commander in Chief in that condition. Trump has already shown himself to be steady as a Commander in Chief. Frankly, we now have a better understanding of why Ukraine and the Middle East are imploding. We now have a better understanding of how Afghanistan happened. Disagree with Trump’s politics all day long, but he kept Russia at bay, Iran at bay and yes China at bay. Trump is fit to serve. Biden is not.

 

It would probably be more accurate to say that that the CNN moderators declined to fact check Trump lest they be accused of putting on their thumbs on the scale in favor of Biden. Prior to the debate the pro-Trump media and especially the Fox News infotainment stars kept repeating the mantra that the Trump would be treated unfairly by the moderators. To avoid the appearance of unfairness the moderators gave Trump an almost complete free pass.

 

I think this statement demonstrates, more than anything else, an inability to inhabit an alternative perspective. I have long suggested that Biden is an unacceptable candidate, but even I would rank him above Trump. My central issue is respecting the constitution, and while neither may boast a sterling score on that measure, Trump has clearly demonstrated the least interest in understanding the core American principles. Probably our most constitutionally minded politician Justin Amash, who thinks the Trump hush money trial is a miscarriage of justice, voted to impeach Trump after just the Mueller report, never mind the Ukraine fiasco or Jan 6. To my lights, any advocate of the rule of law would find Trump a most unsuitable option to be its protector.
