Trump really stepped in it when he used the phrase "black jobs" in the debate. The inference was clear--menial, low paying jobs are for African Americans in his mind. All over social media, African American voters are asking, what exactly is a black job? Marco Rubio was even asked it after the debate and had no answer. Trump wasn't going to get their votes anyway, but that kind of comment is what gets them to the polls for Democrats.
Is it dumber than his comment on electric planes? At least Biden had to have brains to suffer mental decline. Trump on the other hand, from yesterday..... “All they know is electric. They want electric army tanks, they want electric planes. What happens if the sun isn’t shining while you’re up in the air?” asked Trump
It's a shame that Bidens diminution overshadowed the litany of crazy bullshit and lies we heard from the desperate felon. It was WORSE than the drunk, lying crazy uncle at Thanksgiving. Trump probably knows less about the issues than does my canine.
And he's still going to win. Sad state of affairs. Apoplectic dems will have only themselves to blame in November. They're running the only guy in the party who could lose. It's almost surreal.
Dumb isn't the issue. He's dumb. The stuff he says is dumb. That's why it lands so well with his staunchest supporters who are just like him. It's what audience that line was absorbed by and how it hit home with them.
I remember him saying it during the debate, but as usual the Democrats will probably put the worst spin on it they can. But that is because they are propagandists not truth tellers. The context was what were Trump and Biden doing to help black people. Trump’s counter punch at Biden was to point out that an open border in no way helps black people, which is 100% true. Unlimited and unrestricted immigration will result in black people losing jobs to immigrants. That is 100% true. But the spin here is to read a whole bunch in between the lines of Trump’s comments that he did not necessarily say. People who make this argument, though, are also equally guilty of stereotyping immigrants in the same way they accuse Trump of stereotyping black people. So it is a lose lose argument for Democrats. There are legitimate things to go after Trump for in the debate. Democrats should focus on those. It may not be as juicy as the race card, but there are points to emphasize other than that one.
I've already explained how this comment was a big loser for Trump. Trump gets no benefit of the doubt on race based commentary since he has lived a life that is perniciously racist and white supremacist.
Lol, sorry, but you don’t set the rules. You can set the rules for yourself, but other people can see this for what it is.
Typical NBC spin. This isn't "all over social media." It's a hit piece by NBC and the NAACP: "They're taking Black jobs, and they're taking Hispanic jobs, and you haven't seen it yet, but you're going to see something that's going to be the worst in our history." The available data, however, doesn't indicate that immigrants are filling roles en masse that would otherwise go to American citizens. And as Derrick Johnson, CEO of the NAACP, pointed out, "There's no such thing as a Black job or a white job." AzCat is like a broken record claiming these illegal immigrants are needed to keep inflation down and they are taking jobs that Americans don't want. I also don't understand why you didn't quote Trump properly as he says the illegal immigrants are taking Hispanic jobs too. Life with Trump is fun. He should have said illegal immigrants are taking American citizens' jobs, but no need to turn this into a racist hit piece as NBC did in coordination with the NAACP which hates Trump as much as NBC News. As I suspected, just a BS thread to be enjoyed by lefties. Carry on.
Idiocracy is being fully realized. We are a nation of morons. We deserve Trump and all the consequences. Wish that weren’t the case but it is.
Trump will only win if Republicans honestly think he is the better alternative and worthy of the job. Personally, it's impossible for me to believe, based on one debate, that anyone who loves America would vote for a narcissistic, lying sociopath because they mistakenly believe he will improve American workers' circumstances with tariffs on China, will lower inflation and improve the economy overall, and will generally make America great again.
If you knew the context of the quote saying "American citizen's jobs" would not have been as effective because the context of the quote was how each President was going to help black Americans. Black Americans losing jobs as a consequence of Biden policies is 100% a winning argument for Trump with many black Americans. Of course, isolate the phrase "black jobs" out of context. Then claim Trump is a racist for using the phrase. This shows the Democrats true colors. There is no lie they would not tell to beat Trump in November. There are no words they would not twist to cast him in a negative light if they thought it would be effective with voters. This goes back to the MSM and their credibility. They are liars of the highest order. It is laughable that they are the gatekeeping fact checkers of Trump. They are the last group of people who should be trusted to fact check anyone. It is the equivalent of having a Biden donor preside over the court case of Donald Trump.
It is all over social media. I just don't have any links to the various Tweets and TikToks referencing it to share.
The opinion of someone who violates the very religious principles he allegedly follows by following one of the worst human beings ever to grace the face of this earth is fairly meaningless.
I don't follow Trump. I do not want the man to be President. Unfortunately, we live in 2 party state. We have two choices: Trump and empty suit Biden, who is just a filler for the Democrat Party. Even then, I don't even know if I am going to vote for him. I am still undecided on how I will vote in November. However, rights of the accused is a concept that is deeply embedded in the history of our country. The idea is even evil and wicked men need to be treated fairly and justly. I really don't mind criticism of Trump, but it needs to be fair and just. I think many criticisms of the man are valid and true. If you had started a thread about Trump's unwillingness to follow the rules of the debate, and you made the point that this raises questions about Trump's willingness to follow other rules such as Federal laws, I would have agreed with you 100%. That is a fair criticism. Will those last two paragraphs change your mind that I am a mindless MAGA sheep? Probably not, but that shows you willingly choose live in the headspace of prejudiced narratives you choose to believe about people who disagree with you. That is your choice. The world is not a vote for Biden/MAGA sheep binary. You have a right to be wrong about that. I respect your rights in that regard. The OP is not a fair criticism, though. Not by anyone who truly seeks to be fair and just in their criticisms of Trump.
