Which fan base in your opinion hates The University of Florida more than any of their rivals. Top 3 in order: Miami -past history (take a knee) etc. FSU - lil brother TENN- dominated I think you ask any UM supporter who they truly hate and 9 out of 10 it’s UF
Weell, hate to disagree with the renowned wing, but I would reverse FSU and Miami. Of course that’s subjective. I think it depends on ones experience with the respective fan bases and I encounter so many FSU fans and almost all of them are arrogant and absolutely all of them are delusional. We just don’t have many Miami fans in my neck of the woods. But the ones that are here are pretty tacky.
Miami and fsu fans are the same people, you will rarely find a fan of one who isn't somewhat a fan of the other, they will try and hide it under "well I hate them but I respect them blah blah blah..." same exact people with shirts of both in the closet.
I kind of thought Georgia and FSU were reversible jackets. Miami is another level of hate for us . Lot of families are connected with the FSU - UF deal, and to a point Georgia
When you think about a rival and wish they would never win another game, ever....factor that in. For me that would be f$u and uga. Re: op... f$u
I think it depends on perspective. Many of us fans have family members who are UF or FSU fans or graduates, so Thanksgiving meals and family reunions can get spicy. In my experience families are not as divided between UF and Miami, at least not in recent years. I do have friends who played football at UF or are related to football players and they tend to agree that to the football players, Georgia is the big rival.
Pcola is loaded with fsu fans and hardly any Miami fans and tacky is a good discription of the few Miami fans. Most are obviously not alumni of any school.
FSU UGA Tennessee I would argue the majority of Miami fans are not even alum and born from the program’s success of the 80s and 90s. Their main rivalry hate is aimed at FSU.
A very close buddy of mine from childhood retired from the Navy then worked full time and later part time at Naval Air Station Museum. He has lived in your town for last 40 years or so. He was the most avid hunter and fisherman I’ve ever known growing up and still is. Looking at your avatar I’d say you are into fishing too. Anyway, he also says Pcola is loaded with Criminoles and most of them are as dumb as a box of rocks.
The top 3, in no particular order, are FSU, Georgia, and Tennessee, with Miami coming in 4th. I think the order has a lot to do with who you’re beating and who’s beating you. Tennessee might hate us more than anybody because we’ve been their nemesis since Peyton got there. Even when we’re down we beat them. Georgia probably hated us as much as anybody when we owned them in the 90s. Year in and year out, FSU might average out to the highest hate index. Anybody whe was associated with the Miami program back in 1971 hates us for life. Either way it shakes out, UF probably has more “rivals” than any other school out there
It’s a great place if you like saltwater fishing and the freshwater and hunting is very close also. Best of both worlds. I can be at the beach leaving the marina or in the woods with no one around in less than 20 minutes either way.
The buddy I’m referring to is a great friend but he switched his allegiance to Bama years ago. Who in their right mind would switch allegiance from UF to Alabama? Wait… I think I answered my own question.
My dad was a Bama fan but what do you do. Lots of those inbreds around here. My stepdad however is a retired navy pilot Gator fan and sent my little brother to UF thank god. They are all down here in Vero. I’m visiting now and they are giving me their Miami tix.
You may be mistaking dumpster diving homeless for Miami fans. There are so few left because of how long ago those jerseys were deposited by the bandwagoners.
In my original post I asked was what fan base hates UF more .? I think Miami hates UF and really it’s not a close second . The other rival schools we have also dislike UF but not with the intensity of UM Bottom line is we have a lot of teams that celebrate anytime we lose. Why is that ? Why is UF hated more than any other school ?
