I’d rather see them bring it to the big 10 than ever get invited to the SEC

It'll be neither, they have big12 written all over them.

The Big Ten will have to sell it's academic soul to take FSU and Clemson. They are not members of the AAU. Of the Big Ten members only Nebraska is not a member. And the other members are very unhappy with the Huskers about that. Can't see the SEC wanting these two. Not with the potential North Carolina and Virginia markets out there.

The AAU isn't the big deal it once was. If the Big-10 wants them, they would probably make sure FSU and Clemson both get AAU invitation. Miami and USF were added last year. I would think FSU is pretty close the benchmark where they could be a candidate on their own.

The AAU invite requires a 3/4 vote by current members to invite someone. The two larger state schools that got in this last cycle had $700 million in research funding roughly, FSU is at $400 million. Harvard and every other self respecting school isn’t going to vote them in to help the Big10 in football.
They’re gonna be waiting a while.

Nebraska was a member of the AAU when they joined if I'm not mistaken. I guess they lost their accreditation.

North Carolina had classes open to the entire student population for approximately 20 years that required no attendance and were automatic “A’s” for anyone who signed up. This was verified by the NCAA in their investigation into NC hoops program. And since the classes were available and taken by the entire student body and not just athletes, they found it wasn’t an advantage to the athletes and so they didn’t get any penalties to the hoops program.

however, the bigger scandal to me is that NC, an AAU school, received zero hit to their AAU status for such a blatant disregard for academic integrity. While my own personal thoughts, to me the entire AAU ranking means less because of stuff like this.

I would like nothing better than to see fsu left out in the cold to wither and die and suffer for eternity.

But if they weasel their way in to either of the big 2 it would take our game with them to another level.

Wherever they land the precedent has been set by the B10, they should only be offered half shares of revenue.
FSU and Clemson may be the only two schools left worth going after (for football) they are not needed in either the B10 or the SEC. And they should be treated as such.

How pissed would Oregon and Washington be if the B10 gave FSU and Clemson full shares of revenue immediately?

And the SEC can easily say both teams add nothing to the conference footprint and only offer half shares.

I would think the B1G would want Clemson and FSU for the new markets.

I love that... those two fan bases and sports programs in general are NOT SEC material. Plus why hurt all SEC team's recruiting by adding those cheaters to the SEC?

The B12 should only offer 1/2 shares to the ACC schools. Why over pay for someone begging to get in.

The ACC schools won't increase the payout.

    OR

Turn them down as well and force them to stay in the ACC at a lower payout than all the other conferences.

Probably true for now. Big 12 could be an option but the money isn't much better over there (the dumbest thing from that quote above is FSU getting double the ACC payout in the big 12, they're comparable).
