This team hates Joe since he is too moderate for Huffington but the Joe Motion Train Wreck is great headline.

Compare the reaction to clear evidence Joe has slipped to clear evidence Trump is a lying crook.

Plus you are exaggerating. I watch as many Biden speeches as anyone and my analysis is always the same: He's no Obama or Clinton orator but he is nowhere near as bad as the edited cheap fakes are. Last night he was as bad as the edited cheap fakes. Clearly he can read well on stage but speeches dont have you doing on the fly adjustments. His few question and answer sessions with the press the last few weeks have gone much better as well but the range of questions were more limited.

I dont know. Last night two dudes showed up to bowl. One guy threw mostly gutter balls and ended up with a score of 22. The other guy went to play DigDug. Not sure Trump did himself any favors playing DigDug. But I get your point.

I still don't have much worry about Biden running the country, but I'm very very worried he can't win the election. That debate just turned off a big chunk of people who will likely not vote. Meanwhile, Trumps base is licking their chops.

After the debate, I immediately turned to TYT, The Young Turks, which network is an excellent barometer for how democrats do in debates and elections.

TYT was at their usual worst immediately after Biden's poor performance. After ranting about how much they hate Trump, they had the following to say:

    Biden couldn't complete understandable sentences.
Biden missed all the opportunities to take on Trump.
Biden is too old and must be replaced, elder abuse.
Biden not replaced = giving Trump landslide win on silver platter.

With replacing Biden as their only solution, they went to a list of replacements:

    1. Bernie Sanders - The only one who can definitely beat Trump.
    2. Andy Beshear (Kentucky) - Won twice in a republican state.
    3. Gretchen Whitmer (Michigan) - Need to win Michigan.

Gavin Newsom would lose to Trump. Checked a poll this morning and it's 51-34 Trump over Newsome in a hypothetical head-to-head election.

Kamala was a non-starter glossed over and swept away.

After listening to all of the outstanding TYT news, I tuned to CNN just in time to get their releasing CNN Snap Poll. The debate winner of the snap poll:

    Trump - 67%
    Biden - 33%

The polling next week will be brutal for Biden.

Issues to think about in replacing Biden:

-Biden has to be given the party nomination before the democratic convention or else no democrat will be on the Ohio election ballot. This would most definitely hurt democrats down ballot.

-The rearing of the democrat snake's ugly head insofar as the election is concerned. Everybody has known as far back as the Super Bowl when Biden skipped the high viewership obtained with so many millions watching the game that he was not competent to run for reelection. Now, Biden has to bow out or be replaced at the convention or simply complete the election cycle handing the presidency to Trump. The problem is the democrat voter will have been left out of the process of electing its party leader. That's more like the Soviet system than the American system of choosing leadership. JMO, the democrats lose this cycle with or without Biden.

I figure all of you lefties in this thread are part of the 33% who will vote for Biden even if he is in hospice care on his death bed. In other words, total lost connection with reality, likely from severe Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Is there any.....well, debate.....that Biden did terribly in that debate? Or that it most likely had serious negative impact on his electability?

It's weird that you appear to need to make that point, when most Biden supporters are well enough grounded in reality to understand that.

On the other hand, though, you shill for a convicted, twice impeached, adulterous, rapist traitor who both accepted election help from Russia, and tried to overturn an election.

But you just lie about it and try to deceive people. Come join us in reality, why don't you?

That’s fair. I’ll go back to looking at things reasonably(what you call shilling) and you can go back to whatever it is you do.

What we saw last night is just an extended version of what we have seen sporadically o er the last five years.

And that bit about organizing 1/6, well that has kind of fallen apart over the last 3 1/2. But go on spreading your false narratives while you project on others.

I’m not one to wish ill will on people but I will have a hard time empathizing with people like you years from now when your family locks you in a basement confined to a bed so they don’t have to pay to get you the care you need. Again, you reap what you sow, have fun with that.

LOL! You are just one of many out of touch with reality sharks having problems with someone impacting what has to have been your safe space on this board. I may leave. I may stay. I will never agree with someone as ridiculously misinformed as you.

Yes, after reading all of these pages, no one brought in for the record just how poorly Biden did against Trump. It's now on the record to go along with the typical board nonsense. You are most welcome.

gave you a funny on the digdug reference. Cute phrase…cheap fakes...unfortunately for the left at some point you can’t spin what we all have known for long time. The only cheap fakes are the talking heads gushing about the emperor’s new cape and crown with their “ joes as sharp as Ever’. Joe can’t hide in the basement while others shill on his cognitive prowess. This is who Joe is, like him or hate him. They better hope the special counsel interview video doesn’t surface. If it does trump will cancel debate 2 and put it on replay for next 7 months

Historically, the debates end up doing little to sway an election and this will be the same. Those who are voting for Biden will still vote for him and you know MAGA isn’t changing their vote, either. Being a progressive I used to listen to The Young Turks all the time, but Cenk and Ana have both lost the plot in recent years and are borderline unwatchable anymore. And yes, I would still vote for Biden on his death bed over a literal criminal who surrounds himself with other criminals and has complete nut jobs like Steve Bannon and MTG in his corner. I don’t understand what’s so hard to understand about this: Vote for a rapist felon who lies about everything or vote for the decrepit old man who at least surrounds himself with competent individuals who aren’t felons, lol. The choice is clear and easy, and it isn’t Trump.

The only ones with TDS are his supporters who constantly have to justify the fact that they support a steaming pile of human garbage who is the only president to be impeached twice and is unanimously rated by unbiased sources as one of the absolute worst presidents in history.

Whether or not Kennedy was on the debate stage wouldn't have made any difference. The last time a third party candidate actually received any electoral college votes was George Wallace in 1968 and that was only because he had a strong regional base in the South. Ross Perot who was perhaps the strongest third party candidate in my lifetime (hint: the first time I was eligible to vote in a presidential election was 1972) didn't receive a single electoral vote in 1992. As long as there is an EC the two major parties will determine who will win the presidency. Ironically the selection of nominees through party primaries (closed in a majority of states) has made the matter worse. Originally intended to open up the selection process they have frequently resulted in the selection of candidates who have had the most appeal to true believers. Although by no means always the case the process frequently results in the elimination of more moderate candidates.

Turn out the lights, the party's over, using my best Dandy Don Meredith:

Report: Biden Will Participate in Second Debate in September (breitbart.com)

President Joe Biden, who reportedly will not drop out of the 2024 presidential race, will participate in the second debate in September, a Biden adviser told CNN Friday.

ABC News’ David Muir and Linsey Davis will serve as moderators for the September 10 debate. More details of the event, including rules, location, staging, and format, are not yet decided, according to ABC News.

If Trump could check his emotions for 30 min, someone in Biden's camp would have to throw a towel on the stage. 0.0% chance that Trump can do that. Completely incapable.
