That is my worry, too. I would celebrate only if both unconfirmed (by convention) candidates were forced out and replaced with more worthy candidates.

The unemployment rate was 6.3% when Trump left office. Although somewhat ironic and most of his own party disagreed Trump along Biden supported the Covid stimulus which was a factor in the inflation that followed. Trump is lying again about immigrant eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Illegals aren't eligible and even legal immigrants with green cards aren't eligible for benefits unless they've been in the US for several years. Trump just spouted the BS about immigrants becoming voters.
