Former Florida Gators wide receiver Percy Harvin was a match up nightmare for defenses. / James Lang-USA TODAY Sports

    By: Terrance Biggs -- June 20, 2024

When it comes to true freshman playing for the Florida Gators this year, all eyes have been on quarterback DJ Lagway. However, wide receiver/return specialist Tank Hawkins should open eyes. The Wheeling, W.Va. product honed his craft at IMG Academy in Bradenon and exudes a DeSean Jackson-like aura with his particular set of skills.

This guy is going to be a superstar... Even as a sophomore he was punking defenses.

What do you call a 6'4" Percy Harvin receiver? Randy Moss?

He had some good hands. If any of our guys have Percy Harvin speed and Randy Moss hands . . . wow! Just a summer daydream. LOL! :)

In before the indignant crowd chastises those daring to compare to PH.

Hopefully the offensive line can make things happen. If they can this offense can put up Trask like numbers.

Not getting the Harvin comparisons at all. Moore is a tall outside receiver with questionable speed. He's a good addition to this class but nothing like Percy.

The link goes to an article about Joshua Moore committing to UF. Don't see anything about Hawkins. OP should clear this up.

That's why I said his height and mentioned Randy Moss... ;)

I see that too, now that you mentioned it. I agree that Tank is quick as a cat. Hopefully he plays like Percy Harvin and Moore plays like Randy Moss..

Kind of confusing because the quote in the post is about Tank, but the attached link is about Moore.
    Glad we got both!

I was lucky enough that he played in my first game in Jax and then got to watch Fouts throw to him in possibly the best offense ever.
