I agree. I don't think gaining weight should be a priority for him. He's big enough. Speed, agility, and stamina are what he needs to work on. He doesn't need Wemby playmaking skills, just being able to run the floor at SEC pace, protect the rim, get rebounds, and make layups would make him a cheat code at that height.

Yes. Being able to play some man defense in the SEC will be key for him. Once he is not a defensive liability his upside could be endless.

Does anyone have an insights on how he's doing in the summer S&C workouts? I wonder if he's doing the same workouts as the rest of the team or if they have something more catered to him. Would love to see what impact D1 S&C conditioning will have on him.

Manute Bol was 195 lbs if I remember and had trouble benching 50 lbs. It's amazing that he gained enough strength to play, so with Rioux he's way ahead of the game in terms of size...but he's pretty far back in stamina and agility. In 1-2 years he might be a different player than he is now, he's barely 18 and still growing (and figuring out how to navigate a nearly 8 foot frame)

Well, since it's summer and there's no basketball, beer is as good a topic as any. And Olivier is Canadian and therefore drinks beer, eh? No doot a boot it.

World's Best Beer: Guinness. But not here in America. You have to get it in Ireland to fully appreciate it at it's best. There is a difference in taste that's remarkable. Apparently the water used is from the Wicklow Mountains, south of Dublin. And the distribution at each pub is carefully regulated and licensed by the company, and the bartender is required to be trained in the pouring. That also makes a difference. Gotta love the attention to detail.
