I don’t remember sections of the Republican Party saying bush sr was a threat to democracy at the time. That’s the part that annoys me.

Ah, it’s conspiracy time again! Where’s my tinfoil hat?

I don't know what "sections of the Republican Party" said about it, but it can be argued that VP and former CIA director George H.W. Bush (and does anyone really “retire” from the Company?) was a threat to democracy. There’s the attempted assassination of President Reagan, whose demise would have put Guess Who (one of the CIA’s own) in the Oval Office. The alleged "lone nut" shooter was John Hinckley, even though on-the-scene reporter Judy Woodruff said the shot that hit Reagan came from an upper part of the hotel. The Bushy Knoll! (The official story, of course, is that Reagan was hit by one of those magic bullets that are always used for presidential shootings. It ricocheted off the front side of the limo at a perfect right angle and squeezed in between the open back car door and door jamb to hit Ronnie just he was getting in. That Hinckley was some trick shooter! ). And talk about coincidence, Hinckley’s family and the Bushes knew each other well. I wonder if George told his friends and former employees at the CIA, "Hey, I personally know a good lone-nut prospect. He's actually a nut!"

But there's more. Prior to being promoted to CIA director, Bush with his overseas oil company was a CIA asset. To say the least. There's a J. Edgar Hoover memo that states that "George Bush of the CIA" was briefed by the FBI on the JFK assassination. (George said that must have been some other George Bush.) And Bush may have been the only adult living at the time who couldn't remember exactly where he was and what he was doing on the day that JFK was shot. Bush said that he "thought" he was "somewhere in Texas." In fact, as he later acknowledged, he was in Tyler, Texas, giving a political speech that was interrupted by news of the assassination. Why in the world would he not remember that right away when asked where he was, especially since he flew to Dallas, the scene of the crime, that same afternoon? Maybe the question of where he was when JFK was shot - then showing up in Dallas from "somewhere" - made this CIA “asset” (to be "briefed" by the FBI on the murder) kind of nervous and naturally evasive. Like he hoped there would no more questions from inquiring minds. (Ditto Judy Woodruff, I imagine, about a second Reagan shooter. If anyone has ever even asked her.)

We knew a lot about Bill when he was elected. Monica happened after, but the other stuff happened in Arkansas and we sure as heck knew that Hillary wasnt very "me too" about her husbands victims when the left voted for her.

Regardless I am not voting for Trump or any conspiracy Jan 6 nut.

I think Hillary was "me too" on the Clinton Body Count. We can't give Bill all the credit for that.

I seem to recall that a blonde hair was found on Vince Foster's body. Did Hillary kill him while or right after they had sex? (No, of course, I'm sure Slick Willie and his moll didn't do their own dirty work, though it would sure make a good movie.) We know that Foster wasn't killed ("committed suicide") at the park where his body was found, because he couldn't have driven his car there without any car keys. (The keys weren't found on his body when searched at the park, they turned up later at the morgue, after two White House aides went there to "identify the body." Mission accomplished.)

Just for the former political party, now criminal organization, whose leadership actively tries to lie to the American public in order to enable the criminality of one of Trump's criminals.

(I'll leave the mischaracterization about what we knew about Clinton to the side. It seems like some therapeutic whataboutism.)

HRc was the original blame or discredit the victim. But it was all a vast right wing conspiracy that extended to well before Wild Bill was Governor. Man they were clairvoyant back then those Pubs.

Some cheerleaders just can’t take the outfit off for even a minute to have a reasonable conversation…

many people will not vote for Trump because he is a despicable person. At the same time they won’t vote for Biden because of his political standing and apparent mental decline. So what? It’s their vote. Some on here act like pompous holy rollers… do it our way and no other or you are wrong and going to hell.
I don’t know about all of you but way back in the day we were taught that
    1. Everyone should vote for who they felt was the best choi e.
    2. That vote was a private and personal matter.. never ask who someone voted for
If you want to vote for Biden.. do so. If you want to vote for Trump by all means do so. If you want to vote third party… do so. And the rest of us should be mature enough to respect your right to choose
We do not have to respect the person whom you voted for but at least show respect to the fellow posters.

Republicans when their voters commit a hate crime: Not all republicans are like that. Don't paint with a broad brush.

Republicans when AR-15s are used in virtually every big mass shooting: Don't penalize all gun owners for the actions of a few.

Republicans when a trans person or an immigrant commits a crime: Execute all trans people and set up some nice Auschwitzes to process those migrants out of the country.

I agree to a certain extent. I've said before and will say again that voters deserve who they elect. But that said, I can't respect any vote for Trump. Unless his voters are cult members and/or fascists (and there are obviously plenty of them in this country), I just don't get it. I would vote for the local Palatka dogcatcher before I would vote for Trump. Unfortunately the dogcatcher isn't running, so I guess I just won't vote. I couldn't vote for Biden in good conscience for unforgiveable actions and policy reasons. And one vote (mine) won't make any difference.

Thread was created on an asinine premise that Democrats were somehow to blame for the Nashville mass shooting (all because OP was triggered by another thread), so it’s only right for it to morph into what it has.

What the heck are you talking about. Hillary went after her husbands victims. The " me too" movement is the antithesis of victim shaming.

Did she not rip Gennifer Flowers and call herself the "victim" instead of Flowers? Did she not say she would "crucify her" in court?

Did she not tey and silence the Broderick assault claims?

You think that is conspiracy stuff? Heck George Stephanopoulos even verified some of this

Why do you keep saying the same thing? Anyone who supports the 1/6 lies will not get my vote. Anyone spouting conspiracy theories will not get my vote.

Why do you keep saying they will?

I was referring to "me too" in the sense that the Clinton Body Count could be attributed to Bill and Hillary "too." Like teamwork, you know?

"Conspiracy stuff"? Yep, I guess you could call it that.

and that stigmatizing trope about LGBTQ people being dangerous. They are far more likely to be victims of crimes than perpetrators. In some people's world, the fact that LGBTQ people even exist is considered a crime.

"#metoo" is the global social campaign in support of sexual abuse victims. No idea where you got the Clinton Crime Syndicate connection to my statement.

It pleases me to hear you say that you would never vote for a Republican, based upon the fact that as an organization they are literally dedicated to telling lies about the actions of their traitorous leader on Jan 6.

    Cheers!

I would vote for republicans that push back.
I would vote for local republicans that arent involved in this bigger game of stupidity.
I would vote for a pro life democrat.

    I don't make a mass generalization. That's a you thing I guess.

It's definitely a me thing. I don't support organizations that actively promote, defend, lie for and enable a criminal. Especially when they lie to support un-American, traitorous actions like trying to overturn an election.

I also don't deceive myself that some members of that organization don't support such actions...even though the leaders do.

And I most CERTAINLY don't continue offering my support....while hoping that said organization will magically better itself.

But you've made clear that you can still support a group whose leadership lies for a traitorous criminal, and where publicly disavowing said criminal is taboo.

    I guess that's a you thing. Enjoy, I guess....
