Not crazy if it’s true. Hole administration, boosters, and Link himself are obsessed with winning a NC to the point it’s all they talk about. If he has 5-6 empty trips to Omaha I doubt they give him the LONR treatment.

If Sully wins his second before the Holes win their first, Hole fans will commit mass suicide. Came damn close to witnessing it last year.

That’s funny right there. They had never ending patience with “11” and have put a good coach on a deadline—only in Tallahassee…..

All they can talk about is a National Championship. The minute we won ours it branded them with a scarlet letter of shame because our “lesser” program eclipsed theirs and all the luster of “Eleven” washed away. Top that off with the LONR finishing with a losing record against UF and their patience is on life support.

They pulled the trigger quickly on Meat and did so in order to speed up winning a NC. Every year that passes without winning it the scarlet letter of shame grows bigger and the natives become more impatient.

Link may be a good coach, but like I said he was given a deadline. Empty trips to Omaha will only make the natives more restless. They already had one of their own lead them for 40 years only to end up 0-for-Omaha.

Basically you have said what every competitive program in college baseball says when they bring in a new coach. No disrespect but you have just speculated on what was said. Sure they want to win. Whether it's Link or Joe Torre, if they don't get to CWS in the next 6 years then a change would certainly happen. However, I doubt that will be the case based on history of that program. I will say they have a great AD in place which they haven't had in a long time. Alford played at Miss St and understands college baseball. He has brought together a lot of former alum who weren't nearly involved in the past.

They are moving fast on determining whether to walk away from Howser Stadium (renovate) or build new. I'm almost certain they will build new. The new stadium will be built at the current site of their IM fields in CollegeTown. They will be build apartments and more commercial around the stadium to make it very intimate similar to what was done at Miss St. How do they afford this? They own the property in CollegeTown and will pre-sell apartments and leases around it to go towards some of the debt in the stadium costs.

Their hand was somewhat forced when they pulled the 'trigger' on Meat.

    These are facts

Yes, but I'm willing to bet there might be some now that the A&M job is open.

Honestly I do t think they would want Sully right now. Not because he isn’t worthy of it, but because a guy who would leave UF for A&M would leave them too for a better offer, which is exactly what they can’t have after this. I would bet they want someone with ties to the program.

Lose the national championship game then the head coach leaves for your biggest rival less than 24 hours later.

I don't know if it's even possible to have a bigger nut punch than that short of health or criminal activity.

I mentioned it on another thread, but their best athlete in any sport, Athing Mu fell in the us track trials last night in the 800 and didn’t even make the team for Paris. She is the defending gold medalist.
    It’s a rough 24 hours.

This is a real head scratcher. I know he went through a tough divorce 3-4 years ago. His wife at the time was from Dallas/Ft. Worth area so coaching TCU was a perfect fit.

Not even 24 hours after his press conference where he acted offended that a reporter asked him about leaving A&M, and him saying that he'd never leave for another job. lol

Next time I hear à bb player says he wants to play for UTex because their coaches are honest, I will chuckle at tamu, utex and the player.

Par for the course….players jump ship at a whim, nowadays coaches do too. No such thing as commitment in today’s world. Plenty of de-commitment though…
