NiJaree Canady transfer portal: 5 landing spots for Stanford pitcher ft. Oklahoma I thought that I pasted the link in my original post. It was omitted. I guess I had a senior moment. Sorry!!
And apparently she was in Gainesville yesterday, if Reddit is right. If Tim is not following, like Rickjs1 said, she isn’t coming here.
Assuming that article has any credibility, as for so many others, I think she's looking for money that only Oklahoma or Texas might match. Possibly Okie State. I would prefer Okie State so she stays out of the SEC. Folks keep talking about academics as an issue and I am in no way discrediting she has a solid academic background, but if that is a driving factor, why leave Stanford? That's not a down and out program.
To shift the conversation...there are two big events coming up for USA Softball. From 7/4 - 7/8 there is a team in Japan. Canady, Coffel, Jocey and Skylar are listed on that team. I will be extremely interested to see if Skylar plays and the way they have the roster listed (Ciara Briggs listed but grayed out as she is hurt) I think she will. She was drafted in AU but did not play in AUX. Might mean nothing as she could still play in the AU regular season. But, Hannah was drafted and never showed up. If Skylar has other priorities in her life, good for her. I have no idea. I'm rambling. The second is the main USA team is playing in the World's in Italy from 7/15 - 7/21 and Tim is coaching and Amanda is on the team. Hopefully, these games will be streamed but with the time difference it usually means in the night morning hours from Japan and what, six or seven hours difference from Italy.
And lastly for the night unless something else triggers my interest, Alyson Habetz has been hired to replace Glasco at Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. I could fill up a page why....but I'm in the book this might be the worst head coaching hire in any sport anywhere. I am shocked. They lose Glasco and they hire an unemployed clown who in 25 years of coaching apparently never had a previous worthwhile head coaching opportunity. But she played there 25 years ago and hiring an unemployed former player means you can get it for a dime on a dollar if you don't care about the program anymore.

330k??? Here’s to hoping that CTW can put together a team that can beat these teams with monetary mercenaries !
Walton is not going to bring in somebody that wants a huge NIL and let that become a locker room issue which I love. We proved with freaking freshman arms thst we can compete for a title and all those piece 3xcept Skylar amd Katie as far as starters are back and experienced now. We can beat canady wherever she goes.. meaning OU if anyone was wondering.
I was reading an article about AI being able to generate original lyrics/music from a prompt and a genre. The article provided a link to one of the free AI song creating services. I didn't want to give it anything easy, so prompt was "love softball" and genre "country." I thought the output was impressive for completely generated by AI in a few minutes: Summer Nights - melodic acoustic country (studio-ai.app)
Specifically, a first team PAC 12 starting SS for Washington who was the Gatorade Player of the Year in Arizona when she came out of high school. UF gets her services for only our upcoming national championship season in 2025. Thanks for bringing this to us rally monkey. Why did 8 top UW softball players enter the transfer portal? | The Seattle Times Holtorf didn’t address why in an Instagram post Monday in which she said, “Thankful for all the memories, experiences, and people I have gained throughout my time spent at UW and I’m excited for whatever is to come next!! I have decided to enter the transfer portal and trusting God with this next chapter and one last softball season.”
