None of the incoming freshmen are catchers. 2 outfielders, 2 infielders and a pitcher.

 

I`m not buying it..

 

More like a False Prophet?

 

As an anecdotal observation, and based on limited photos and videos. It looks like Cahalan grips the ball with her fingers and, due to hand size, doesn't have to palm the softball. Similar to Wallace and AK, it usually translates to throws that are BB's to first, and out stealers. Great pickup for the Gators. Next year can't get here soon enough.

 

Obviously she plays 3rd. That doesn't mean she doesn't catch at practice. She came in a few games to catch so you know she's familiar with the pitchers. She would be our starting catcher if not for Jocey.

 

Bullpen catcher needs to be available in the bullpen during games. Wouldn’t be someone who’s starting in the field at another position. AK may be a backup catcher, but that’s different from a bullpen catcher.

 

True....but it can be just about anybody, walkon or backup position player

No idea.

 

Emily usually ran out with pitcher heading to the pen. Before the games, it was Emily, AK and Jocey in the pen.

 

Gasso jsut tweeted out a go boomer for OU. With way more exclamations than they normally have. Assuming this will be Canady as we all already knew.

Could be. Dayton is a very solid player. Excellent ex-Batbuster.

 

I had read Canady is taking all her visits before committing, don’t know what all the schools are, but might be a bit.

 

Smart decision I think. She's got to have a lot on her mind with it all. She's extremely smart from what I can tell.
