That may have been true back in 2016 and maybe in 2020 it will be much less true in 2024. I seriously doubt that many autoworkers in Michigan will be voting for Trump in 2024 considering the very generous contract that the UAW negotiated on their behalf and Trump's obvious pro-management tilt. I would also add that the Culinary Workers Union and other unions representing workers in the hospitality industry in Nevada will be voting for Trump. The unions have been very effective at mobilizing their members and they probably made the difference in the 2020 presidential election in Nevada as well as every other statewide election in the state with the exception of the governorship in 2022 in which the incumbent was defeated based on his support of the Covid lockdowns which killed tourism in that state.
