Some interesting videos through this thread. They’re kind of in reverse order.

No country that borders with China or Russia can fully trust either one of these countries. There have been too many instances of land grabs and border violence. And that goes double with China and Russia trusting each other. China built its weapons manufacturing factories in remote locations on mountaintops scattered around southern and eastern China specifically because they were expecting an invasion from Russia in the 1950's. It made the logistics of making and delivering weapons very difficult, but it was worth it to the Chinese.

China develops a major problem with relationship with Iran, suggesting that maybe UAE has a right to islands claimed by Iran since 1971. So much for that alliance. NEXT!

China's navy is getting bold by harassing the Dutch navy, which was enforcing U.N. sanctions on North Korea. China is not very good at making friends or respecting international rule of law.

Taiwan develops new naval drones that are much larger than the ones used by Ukraine. Their latest is a 55-foot long, 12-foot wide ship killer that weighs 20 tons. Hopefully they have a smaller one to knock out the ferries that will hauling Chinese troops ashore, and they can save the jumbos for China's aircraft carriers and destroyers, assuming that those are not destroyed in the opening minutes of the conflict. These drones weigh 20 tons, and go through the water at 30 knots with a range of 300 miles. It has advanced electronics that allow it to operate without GPS or communications equipment.

Looks like Taiwan is getting serious.

China sends 60 lbs of secret documents to disposal with military employees, finds out later that they were sent to recycling for a small profit (less than $4), which allowed a shopper to buy four volumes of secrets for less than $1. Imagine if the shopper had $10. It must be difficult controlling 1.3 billion people who are so desperate for cash and raised without any significant moral standards.

China says 2 military employees sold 60 pounds of secret documents to a recycling plant, allowing a shopper to bag 4 volumes for under $1 (yahoo.com)

It's really strange that the US military thinks the key to deter China is gonna be drone swarms. I can't think of a worse nation to get into a drone swarm fight with than China. While the more expensive, more sophisticated drones have not shown to be effective in Ukraine, it's at least something we can compete against them on. "Thousands" of cheaper drones will just be a rounding error to what China will likely unleash in the event of a war over Taiwan.

taiwan is what everyone calls the island nation not to piss off mainland. Its technical name is the republic of China. The mainland is the people’s republic of China
