Sorry to pile on, but she had some fielding errors that cost us dearly as well. She is an enigma to me.

She also made some plays that were pretty athletic, and certainly had more range than Walsh at second.

Also believe she has not played as much as others due to her injuries. I think she flashes enough not to give up on her.

I think she’ll be pushed harder this year, but she’ll definitely be given a chance. The potential is there and it’s a worthwhile experiment, imo.

Agree, but I didn't want to say that without looking up her number of errors.

So I'm going completely out of the box and guessing Montana as our student assistant.

D1 softball says dobbins wants to spend more time with her family and her young children. so she's quitting coaching. I remember Stephanie at her time in Alabama and I thought she was a great pitching coach.

I'm seeing Bama fans saying they like Lance better and they she didn't develop great. That could be coping....

Very interesting. A proven pitching coach in the SEC. All good methinks.

Did anyone have insight into this? Weird after jsut one year. Hope Rothrock aand Brown are on board. I like this a lot really. She did great at Bama through the years. And if like somebody said Montana is the GA imagine the impact she'd have on our pitchers. Never have seen anything but positive things about her.

She has several proven pitchers to go against that statement. The only pitcher that I've been impressed with under him is Montana and she was already a stud.

I have no insight but the "spending more time with the family" has been used more times than it is possible to count when someone is let go.

That's true but I wonder what the reason would've been for letting her go. Everything seemed to work well but maybe Keagen and Ava said they needed something different. I wonder if she is connected to the Charlotte job though. She wanted the NC job last year so maybe she's going for that and they can't say it yet.

If she is leaving to take a reasonable head coaching position then I understand it. If she is leaving after one year at a job like UF to "spend more time with the family"....nope.

This job is a grind and the pay isn’t fantastic unless you’re a head coach at a top program. I can see someone getting burnt out. I can see someone getting burnt out even if the pay is good.

How long has she been in the game? She was surprised "at the grind" after one year taking a plum job like UF? Not buying any of that.
