NO!!!!!! They cancelled them a couple of years ago. Evidently, some coaches complained that the day was too long. Those ceremonies were fun! With fireworks!! It was probably the LSU coaches!
It was so cool seeing what was done in 2005. I know that you remember @iowagator — they had eight special forces personnel parachute into Rosenblatt — one for each school at the CWS with each school flag tied to their leg. Each team had a designated player to be on the field and meet the parachutist after he landed to accept their school flag. It was incredible.
I read on another site that Liam Peterson will be the starter Saturday night. Also, Ty Evans will not play in Omaha even though his cast is off, but Ryan Slater is healthy and available after an oblique strain kept him out of the Super Regional.
Florida sets starting rotation for College World Series ahead of Texas A&M matchup Ahead of Florida’s CWS matchup with Texas A&M, the Gators revealed their starting rotation. UF is sticking with freshman Liam Peterson for Game 1 and 2-way star Jac Caglianone in Game 2. O’Sullivan would turn to Pierce Coppola if Florida avoids going 0-2 and ‘cue.
A&M suffered 2 major injuries in the Super regional. Braden Montgomery and Shane Sdao are both out for the CWS.
Thankfully, I'm just along for the ride with this one. I'm going to enjoy the start of the game knowing our Gators made it again. What happens next will be whatever happens. I can be thankful with what comes either way. Maybe the SEC will make a story about them one day, you never know.
I think Russel is the only transfer to take the mound. I think he’s the only transfer that pitches, actually. Who else is there?
