The story said they were added to the roster, but Bella is not currently listed, so maybe I got ahead of myself.
We had 4 VB ladies attend the softball game today. Emerson Hoyle Emily Canaan Taylor Parks Alec Roth They sat in Section 104 in Row 2. Two guys in the front row stood up in front of them during the last 3 innings. Some people are so self-absorbed they do not think of the other person. I say they did not take their self-absorption pill. I fist-bumped them on the way out and apologized for the idiots. Of course, they brushed it off. I thanked them for coming, and they were of course. Emerson had a Williams, number 11 T-shirt. I asked if she and Mia were roommates, but Canaan is. These ladies are great representatives of our university. I can't wait for August.
I've been wanting to talk with Stuckey to see how her knee is doing. Today, I am driving on Stadium Drive and there she is walking from the Heavener toward the Lemerand. Unfortunately, she was walking in the grass at least 50 feet from the sidewalk. So, I was not going to force the situation and just drove on by. She must have got a vibe that I was coming.
Florida Volleyball Releases 2024 Schedule - Florida Gators We do pick up Georgia Tech OOC and Texas in conference, but I sure liked those matchups with Stanford and Wisconsin. We also get Kentucky and Texas at home which is a big plus.
So far Lauren Harden, Jaela Augusta, Bella Lee and Erin Engle are not yet listed. Does anyone know if they’ll be here for Summer B, or not until the fall term? The season is approaching pretty fast…just wondering.
Uf roster listings are often haphazard....baseball never updates until mid January, even while guys are playing fall ball games.
You mentioned Madi Gravlee's surgery and I hope she fully recovers for the 2024 season, but do you have any recent information on Alexis Stucky and Kira Hutson? I'm concerned for Alexis missing part of the season as it typically takes 10 to 12 months for knee injuries like she experienced to heal. If she is on the short side of recovery, say 10 months, she could be ready for the season. Of course. I'm hoping Kira is 100%, can hit with full authority again without pain, but shoulder and back surgeries sometimes leave longer-term complications.
The person I spoke with said they talked to Stuckey after the last spring match and said she was on track to be ready to start the season. That news is too old. I guess I'll have to patrol Stadium Drive more often.
Just listened to an interview with new UF president Ben Sasse and he said beach volleyball is being added as an official UF sport.
