I dont know much about trying to do crime, but coming in legally, registering with the government via their app and telling them who you are seems like something you wouldnt want to do if you were up to no good and trying to disappear in order to do terrorism. Perhaps they were very stupid? In any case, I dont understand the panic when people are caught. Why does your mind go to "well, there must be thousands of people not caught?" That's the wet blanket!
The cartels are prepping the masses of illegals to dispose of all their 'incriminating' identification documents before crossing. For citizens of countries who won't provide criminal information (like Venezuela/plus other countries that hate us), this is an open invitation to come here and commit crimes, like the tourist criminals already here breaking into homes and stealing. I'm not panicking about people getting caught, just the illegals who will never be caught until they kill more Americans. And by the way, none of this border invasion is 'coming in legally'.
If you are a criminal, want a life of crime, and live in a country like Venezuela or Guatemala already, why leave and head to the US? The chances of getting caught at home is much lower and if caught, you could likely bribe your way out of punishment. In the US, on the other hand, higher likelihood of getting caught. And if caught, first, you will spend some time in jail, and then when let out, you'll find yourself heading back home. What's in it for the immigrant? Immigrants paying cartel coyotes for entrance into the US makes sense. As does the immigrant paying the cartel by agreeing to be a mule. But this is small potatoes in the drug trade, as about 90% of all illicit drugs enter the US through legal ports as contraband. But criminals coming to US to commit crimes when they can stay home and pretty much do what they wish? Doesn't make sense. Nor does it make sense for the cartels to want to bring more criminals into the US. More crime only brings more police, which is potentially bad for cartel business. And while the cartels are ruthless, they are also rational business actors, and will avoid doing things that hurt their business if possible. Last thing they want is more police presence at the border and scrutinizing immigrants that are here in the US.
‘They hit the jackpot’: How so-called ‘burglary tourists’ use visa waivers to target luxury US homes International 'crime tourism' hits America's heartland https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/05/us/burglary-tourists-visa-waivers-target-luxury-homes/index.html
Venezuelan gang members in the US illegally. Just hit NBC News. Venezuela probably letting their criminals loose intentionally, like the Cuban government did in 1980. 'Ghost criminals': How Venezuelan gang members are slipping into the U.S.
He swore an oath to keep us safe, but he didn't keep us safe, did he? Probably too busy talking to young girls to understand there was a crisis at the border.. nah, that let's him off too easy. He just didn't care.
What are you even talking about man? Why are people such children? Entering America legally on a tourist visa has nothing to do with the border lol. And the article says these crimes date back to at least 2019.
Well, had Trump been re-elected he would have built his big, beautiful wall so big that it would've blocked people with legal tourist visas from entering as well as every illegal!!! Therefore, it's all Biden's fault!
You assume an awful lot. You also grossly underestimate the cooperation between police states around the world. Yes, the US by itself does not deploy resources to track every human on earth, but by partnering with other agencies world wide, we can cover an awful lot. Further, you assume just because you don't hear about it, things don't happen. That is wrong.
Me after getting food poisoning from expired meat: "Joe Biden swore an oath to keep us safe and he LIEEEEED"
Diamond Joe just stopped 8 terrorists? OP what did Diamond Joe do to be so successful in keeping our country safe
There is a reason that they were referred to as "burglary tourists". Although it wasn't clear in that article the perpetrators didn't sneak across the Southern border nor did they try to claim asylum at the Southern border. They entered legally from countries with "visa waivers" or in other words countries from which tourists can enter the US for up to 90 days without a tourist visa. https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/05/us/burglary-tourists-visa-waivers-target-luxury-homes/index.html Prosecutors say the break-in is part of a larger issue in which so-called “burglary tourists” enter the United States from countries that qualify for visa waivers, allowing a visit of up to 90 days without a traditional tourist visa. When the suspects arrive – most often from South America, prosecutors say – they join sophisticated burglary rings that prey on luxury homes.
So basically OP lied about them crossing the southern border that's what you're saying. What are the odds that they come back to the thread and admit that they were wrong?
