F$U settled out of court to the tune of $950,000 to the young woman. You don’t agree to that as a third party without overwhelming evidence that will likely cost the institution even more. Having read the full police report at the time, the dipshit was as guilty as the sun is bright. The only reason Cappelman (her dad played for F$U) didn’t press charges is due to TPD completely bumbling the investigation, to include not confiscating evidence which was later noted to be lost. My wife who grew up a diehard Bucs fan, she boycotted the seasons he was on their roster. We lived in Tallacrappee at the time and have knowledge of deplorable things done by that athletic department to keep both athletes AND coaches out of prison.

 

Do you truly believe that he would not have wanted Tebow? Do you truly believe that Tebow would not have wanted that training and guidance? Do you really think that with a year behind Leak that he would not have thrived as a passer? Danny didn’t throw the ball the way Spurrier preferred either but if I’m not mistaken he ended up doing pretty well.

You never answered my earlier question. Did SOS recruit Tebow when SOS was at Carolina?

 

I’ll answer it to move the discussion forward. Per 247 and Rivals, Tebow did not have an offer from South Carolina.

 

The one main quality that SOS looked for in a starting QB was can he perform under the lights and under pressure? Tebow had that quality in spades. SOS was not afraid to throw QB's out there until he found one. Tebow would have eventually won the job. That's how Danny finally won the job, and others.

 

I don’t know if he did or did not. If he hadn’t then Tebow probably wasn’t the only out of state 5 star being recruited by all the bigs that he didn’t spend a lot of effort on. If he did, then Tebow was definitely not the only out of state 5 Star being recruited by all of the bigs that he didn’t land.

SC wasn’t a prime destination for out of state 5 Stars in 05 and 06.

 

I believe it’s we see what goes on at many colleges and pro teams. Ray Rice would have never been suspended if it weren’t on video. Georgia is a mess right now. It’s all pretty disgusting.
My oldest was a Bucs fan his entire life and when they drafted Winston, he was done and never looked back.
I’d drop my gators too if they knowingly covered for such crap.

I have to wonder if the inmates are going to take over the asylum. It’s happened at more than one university's football team, including Meyers team at UF. I think Meyer learned a lesson at UF, (at our expense ) that served him well at Ohio State: or at least taught him to not let the thugs take compete charge.
I know I shouldn’t think this way but, I hope Georgia and Kirby Smart get a comeuppance: they deserve it.
