Both Trump and Biden agree to drop out The respective parties nominate their own candidates. Biden pardons Trump after different Repubican. Biden in clear conscience pardons his son. The conventions would be the most interesting in over 40 years. you in?
1. It's not happening. 2. What is Biden pardoning Trump of? He can't pardon him of the 34 felony convictions. They're state crimes. 3. Yes, I'd happily take an election without Biden or Trump. But again, it's not happening.
I won’t go as far to say only a moron would propose this, but I see so many ethical conundrums up front with this proposal. Both candidates are their party nominees, so they should both see it through. The time to drop out would have been before the primaries. A pardon of Trump insinuates the charges were valid and not politically motivated from the beginning. The weaponizing of the justice system needs to be addressed, no matter which party you sympathize with. And how does Biden pardon his son with a clear conscience? It’s funny, because a guy with Hunter Biden’s background hiding millions of dollars worth of income from the IRS is a pretty big deal. This feels like another attempt to rig the election. Just let it play out.
The funny part is of certain group of people think that the department of Justice being weaponized when really all their doing is attempting to ignore the crimes of a career fraudster
Congratulations, you got all the Fox talking points down! The giveaway was calling the justice system "weaponized". I don't recall that vacuous term ever being used when Bill Barr was AG!
You know that dog that knocks the ball down the steps into one of two buckets, to pick the Super Bowl winner? Yeah. I'd take him doing that over what we have now.
Both parties had 4 years to avoid this upcoming disaster and elected to not change a thing. Shame on them. We deserve what we get. A 78 year old narcissistic, lying, amoral grifter vs a failing 81 year old career politician who has more often than not been on the wrong side of foreign policy issues over his 50 years in office, and may often not know whether it’s Tuesday or Friday. Go team!!
With any luck another four years to pick viable candidates for 2028. That said, even if Trump loses in 24, that wing of the party is calling the shots for the foreseeable future. Wishful thinking to suppose the gop will " come to it's senses" and return to anything resembling the pre Trump gop. The D party obviously has challenges to post Biden, if they can prevent the good from being the enemy of the perfect.
I hate posts like this because it pushes the "they are both bad" argument. Trump is bad. Hitler like bad. Biden is at worst "Meh" and likely will go down in history as a very effective president. Yes he is old, oh well. But he is also very experienced. Senator for years, VP, and current President.
If he loses reelection I don't think he'll go down in history as an effective president (whatever that means) - he will be RBG part II, another example of liberal hubris. He probably would have been remembered better if he'd called it quits after 4 years and stepped aside for younger blood.
Even if the so called crimes are legit you have to admit they would have never been prosecuted if not for political reasons. Total BS on the part of everyone involved.
You have this backward. If the legit crimes were not prosecuted, it would have been purely for political reasons.
Better be careful there, a certain poster with the letters JMDZ in his name might come along and get after you about your spelling, punctuation and grammar.
