This is not an answer to the question. Stop beating around the bush. What are you asking people to do?
You DO realize that the Gazan Health Ministry isn't the only one reporting on this? ....the bodies of 109 Palestinians including 23 children and 11 women were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. AP reporters saw dozens of bodies brought from the Nuseirat and Deir al-Balah areas, as smoke rose in the distance and armored vehicles rolled by. A baby was among the dead. Small children wailed, covered in blood. Bodies were placed on the ground outside, their feet bare, as more wounded were rushed in. Israel rescues 4 hostages from Hamas captivity, while 210 Palestinians are reported killed during fighting in Gaza
LOL. You mean like this bit from one of their most recent articles on it? ...CNN has no way of verifying casualty numbers reported by Palestinian officials in Gaza... Yeah. Knee pads. Live updates: Israel-Hamas war, Israeli hostages rescued, Palestinians killed in raid.
You misunderstand. I said we protected ourselves with security around planes to prevent another 9/11 and that killing children hasn’t made us safer. I didn’t say we didn’t kill any children in Afghanistan. I didn’t notice any mission accomplished banners when we pulled out. That was a trillion of uselessness and the lives cost too.
I guess he is saying once Israel kills enough civilians, Hamas will suddenly and magically grow a conscience? Is a pretty ridiculous take.
I think ATLGator is looking at it more strategically. He might be saying that Hamas is thinking this; "Since Israel just slaughters the civilians in the combat zone, maybe it would be to our strategic advantage to have the civilians moved out. We'd be much safer that way." I'm not sure, just guessing. Maybe he has an idea when this change in strategy would happen. After 20,000 more dead civilians? 40,000?
Sir I’m under no compulsion to accept the premise of your question nor answer it in a way you deem acceptable. You’re an educated guy, part of the answer is indeed in the question I asked you. Why do YOU believe Hamas makes this a cornerstone of their strategy?….and you can pause on the ‘so called’ qualifier. we both know full Well they do. Not only do they use their own as human shields ( previous link to weapons and tunnel is child’s room). but they initiate the opposite by specifically targeting Israeli citizens. Why do you believe Hamas doesn’t blink at targeting and not just killing unarmed civilians and women but perpetuating heinous acts such as these and then act so ‘nonchalant’ descriptions of their truly barbaric( citygators word) acts. They don’t seem too worried about war crimes. Why do you think that is ? Is it because they are indeed animals as described and are not bound by any guiding moral compass, or is it that they are confident western media will mostly justify and/or ignore it. Before you begin any campaign it’s imperative to understand full well the lengths your adversary will go. Video: Father-Son Hamas Duo Nonchalantly Describes Taking Turns In Raping Israeli Woman And Then Killing Her - News1 i made the point initially and will point you back to the UN numbers. The UN has concluded that 8o-90% of ALL deaths in urban combat are civilian. Those are not new statistics and not my curated numbers. Those numbers belong to the UN. The IDF continues to claim their ratio is 2-1, 66%. Hamas ( Gaza health ministry) purposely does NOT indicate how many of their claimed 30,000 deaths are civilians v Hamas fighters. Gee, wonder why?? The numbers are difficult to extrapolate, as just as gangs use underage kids to circumvent authority, Hamas has learned and does an excellent job of indoctrinating many 12-16yo kids to fight. ( see jihad Mickey Mouse link below as one example). So even using Hamas numbers of 30,000 dead then anything more than 3000 of them being fighters would be better than historical average and not close to the hyperbolic screams of genocide Ninety Per Cent of War-Time Casualties Are Civilians, Speakers Stress, Pressing Security Council to Fulfil Responsibility, Protect Innocent People in Conflicts | Meetings Coverage and Press Releases Mickey Mouse double ‘martyred’ on Hamas TV
the fact that you chose the word ‘conscience’ as being anywhere in the lexicon of Hamas decision making, tells me you have no idea what you are talking about.
I’m celebrating the rescue of 4 more hostages this weekend. Also, rather notably, the hostages were held captive in “ordinary citizens’” homes.
Make no mistake. In terms of hostage rescue the tier 1 aspects of the IDF are second to none. They revolutionized QCB and our own tier 1 devgru and delta travel there to study their methods. Job well done on a daylight raid.
Apparently, the loss of Palestinian lives happened not during the incursion, but during the exfiltration, when the Palestinians, using RPGs, Grenada, and the full bandwidth of weaponry, fount to keep, or kill, ”prizes of war”. Here is an interesting video that supports this:
I’ve posted this before, the raid is yet another example of how good the IDF is at this type of warfare and frankly why Hamas and its sister organization use human shields. They know out in open they would get mauled. People that specialize in this type of engagement understand how complex and efficient that this hostage rescue was performed and why it will be studied in microscopic detail. I’d be willing to bet out tier 1 guys are already there learning and assisting. Israel Has Created a New Standard for Urban Warfare. No One Will Admit It
I know what Hamas is. They're evil terrorists. But we're talking about innocent civilians here. The fact that you refuse to tell us what you're asking of us speaks volumes. You know it's wrong, which is why you won't vocalize exactly what it is you want. That says it all.
By the way, I posted earlier in the thread that Israel had gotten the deaths of women and children down to about 40 percent. Some of the men killed are innocents as well I’m sure. But comparison, the UN estimated in 2021 that in urban warfare civilian deaths are around 88 percent. So Israel is being far more cautious than most anyone else, despite the tactics of their enemy. And for that they are branded as genocidal and bloodthirsty. Protection of Civilians: The Humanitarian Impact of Urban Warfare, January 2022 Monthly Forecast : Security Council Report
Apparently the "ordinary citizens" that were holding the hostages were the families of Hamas fighters.
