Just got a text message stating that the Franciscan Center in our neighborhood will have summer bingo on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each summer month, 12-3pm (I have to work, thank you very much).

I refuse to believe that Mr. Butker can seriously promote "timeless" Catholic traditions if he doesn't promote bingo, perhaps the most sacrosanct timeless Catholic tradition ;>. He is obviously a convert cafeteria Catholic if he ignores bingo.

 

I would gladly take that bet. Butker is the best kicker in the NFL right now. Was glad to have him on my Fantasy Football team last year.

Butker has plenty of money where he could retire this year if he wanted to. But make no doubt about it, if KC was stupid enough to release him (and take the salary cap hit BTW as well) another team would pick him up in a second.

If this was the 49ers, Seahawks, Rams or Chargers I could potentially see it. Considering Missouri is deep red and Kansas is still majority red, that means a lot of those Chiefs fans support at least some of his views. There would probably be just as much backlash against releasing him. Never mind the fact they would be hurting their own team and their own chances of winning another Super Bowl.

But as a Saints fans if the Chiefs want to make themselves more beatable and hurt their chances of winning another Super Bowl while accomplishing nothing, go for it!
