I know nothing about this but this look like an interesting tweet. Apologies if it's somehow misinformation but it doesn't appear to be
It’s true. Here’s him delivering the winning pitch. Pakistan needed a six (equivalent of a home run) to tie and all they got was one run.
If you’re not in, get in! Listen to this dude to understand USA’s chances of advancing to the next round. Spoiler- it’s pretty good!
Why is this being held in the US? Not many cricket grounds here I assume. Sort of a neutral site for travel?
Cricket’s governing body ICC is trying to promote cricket in the US. There are three venues in the US - NY, Dallas and Lauderhill, FL with the rest of the venues in the Caribbean where cricket is popular. Problem is most of the TV audience is in Asia and so the games start at weird times in the morning here.
Why was this the winning pitch? On my small screen it looked like he hit it and rolled along the ground.
So USA was pitching and that was the last pitch in overtime (In OT, each team only gets six pitches to hit). Pakistan needed to hit six runs (equivalent of a HR) off that pitch to tie the game and to take it to second overtime. But that hit along the ground only got them 1 run and the US won by 5 runs.
Before I decide who I would pull for in such a game (match?) between a team representing the United States and another country, I need to know the appearance of the players and whether they seem to be more feminine or masculine. My choice on USA vs. Pakistan will be determined by their looks. Also, I am an America first patriot.
USA 17-9 Pakistan on 4's. This was a like a baseball game where the winning team gets a couple hot grounders down the line for doubles, a couple over the SS/2B for the same, and the opponents got a couple instances of warning track power. Not unlike GatorsBB first game this year, come to think of it... Certainly the biggest USA international sports upset since 2018 Olympic Curling, which brings us to the real question for Too Hot. Who is sexier, US (Cricket) or Sweden (Curling)? US: Sweden:
Ha, like two people truly understand what they're seeing, and I feel like one of them might just be hammered and generally happy.
