It is as if the OP doesn’t even read the articles they are posting - which seems to be a common theme. They post an article that gives a symptom, and then explains the cause but the OP ignores the cause and makes up his own. various snippets: Other STIs are flat or down, so seems to be specific to syphylis the link to gay men was around 2000, after aids became treatable the level of diligence dropped In last few years focus on covid has distracted from many other health care issues, such as this. This is happening all over the world, except China - which we all know is the society we should strive for. Ohhh the ole cost analysis with nary a mention of the benefits. Now do driving, skiing, football, guns, getting an education, child rearing, etc.
I will admit, I was surprised by the results. Obergefell is a continuation and an intensification of the sexual revolution that started in the century prior. Everything from the 1960s to now goes into this. All the decisions that factor into the numbers going up are a result of the culture and values people have chosen to live by.
Honestly think that the next topic this dude posts on that doesn't include something to the effect of "I was surprised to learn that everything I'd posted was wrong", or "I actually decided to finally read about that and realized everything I'd believed was incorrect"...........will be the first topic that doesn't include that. Well, except, I guess, for the topics he continues to choose not to research or read about. (but posts about)
Totally off the top of my head but a committed couple tends to have less (or no) sex outside of the marriage. So why would the STI intensify post Obergefell?
Well, that requires us to ask some questions. Does the institution of gay marriage make homosexual couples more monogamous? Also, with homosexual marriage enshrined by the courts, did the amount of people who identify as homosexuals in the population stay the same or increase? Then finally, if more people are identifying as homosexual now than before, how does the promiscuity of the average heterosexual compare with the promiscuity of the average homosexual? So, does switching the way one self-identifies impact their expected level of promiscuity? And then, finally is the transmission probability between homosexuals the same as the transmission probability between heterosexuals? I don't have all of the answers to those questions right now with sources, but I think I have read things in the past that answer some of those questions.
It's not supposed to make sense. It's just supposed to make you feel good. And by good, I mean angry but vindicated because you possess knowledge others don't. And there's no fix to this type of "feeling good". Only more anger and vindication.
This "it" you refer to, would that be our dicks? I want to be sure what to keep in my pants besides my wallet and keys.
If you wear make-up, a hairpiece and a fake tan, but claim to love Jesus, then none of these rules apply. Then you can be a manly man and cheat on your wife a whole whole lot.
You have to ask the right questions. Obergefell was a watershed cultural moment where gay marriage received more societal credibility. Did the number of self-identifying homosexuals go up or down since that event? If it went up, then the size of the population with the highest rates of Syphilis transmission got larger.
Syphilis as Re-Emerging Disease, Antibiotic Resistance, and Vulnerable Population: Global Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis There is a lot of evidence that the bacteria is mutating and antibiotic resistance is a factor. A lot of doctors diagnose the disease, prescribe the appropriate antibiotic and resolves enough to be asymptomatic, but still technically there. This is happening a lot, and since most of our population is fat, it makes it even worse.
