Decommits from UF. I think it is a mutual thing but time will tell.

Does this mean Napier and Gonzalez feel confident about the higher rated WRs on their board?

I believe He was politely encouraged to look around, as I've heard UF may end up taking 4 WR's this cycle after some recent developments.

Not saying we should have kept Abdullah but I hate the idea of dropping a kid because you have a good feeling about other targets.

Until they actually COMMIT, why drop a commit?

i know but i was just using this situation as an overall example. Happens with EVERY SCHOOL, but I hate jumping the gun with how flimsy and flakey these kids can be. Make you feel good but string out their commitment and commit someplace else lol

That’s recruiting for you though lol

Depends on if he is no. 5 with 4 others they feel good about or no. 10 with 8 they feel good about.

We need some real studs at WR, if we want to play at the highest level. They can come and play ball with DJ and win some championships.

If we win most of our games, look good in the ones we don't, and DJ shows out when he gets on the field, the recruiting floodgates will open wide.

Still kind of dirty. How can we vilify kids that string us along? Can you shed any light as to why staff let him commit in the first place if he wasn't a solid take in the class?

So much we do not know.
Did he come back to staff wanting more NIL money? Did he complain about us still recruiting big name receivers? Does he have a person in his ear telling him to make more demands?
I dont know. It may simply be that he has changed his mi d and the staff feel comfortable with our recruiting and everyone just shook hands and parted in good terms.
No need to throw shade in any direction.

I'm in hogtown at the moment.

Speaking of hogs, I was on Payne's Prairie at sunrise this morning and saw about 50 of the live bacon critters.

What part of Payne's Prairie can you see such things? I've still had yet to see anything other than a gator in Payne's Prairie, but I've never gone deep on trails (just first part of La Chua trail and the lookout off 441).

We were on Bolan's Bluff trail which is the first left on south rim off 441. You Walk along the bluff trail about 20 minutes and then there is a jeep trail straight across the Prairie to a 20 foot tower about another 10 minute walk. The hogs were bolting across the trail in front and behind us, blowing and snorting. The little ones were funny. I was expecting Bison and mustangs but saw only hogs, deer, and tons of birds.

Awesome. So many fond memories of Payne’s Prairie - interesting though, none in the morning. I’ll bet that’s an awesome sunrise
