I still think Miller can become an excellent pitchet

 

I think it is going to be very tough year for TW in the transfer portal. If I was in the portal, I wouldn't give Florida a second look because I wouldn't want to compete with all the returning superstars and the great recruiting class coming in. We are only loosing two starters. TW can pretty much only offer someone a place on the bench and that is about it.

 

Had the Gators Softball twitter account always followed Kenleigh Cahalan?

 

I would be surprised if Olivia transfers. I would understand it if she did but she just seems full in on being a Gator. I haven't read all of the pages so don't know if anyone already posted this but Olivia posted this morning a video of her as a 10 year old going batshit crazy when the Gators won the championship. That doesn't strike me as someone planning on leaving anytime soon:

Is there a way to figure out how old that "follow" is regarding Callahan? I have paid attention to this stuff for quite some time and I don't think it means anything unless Tim is also following her and it means even more if Francesca is also following her. Apparently, that's not the case. I don't think we move on her.

 

I agree about it not mattering unless Tim does. I just didn't know if it was recent or from before college. I see they follow other recruits too so it's probably old!

 

I really hope she doesn't. I want her to get a chance to shine next year and be like Delaney Gourley. I don't want any one to leave but especially pitchers.

 

After what happened last year in the portal I’m going to TRY to not speculate whose coming or not until I either see the announcement from the player herself or the official Twitter account

 

I would be stunned if she transferred as her parents were 2 of the BIGGEST supporters of the team and the players. They sat with the Rothrocks all season long and at the WCWS.

Cahalan was a tip recruit and wanted by many. I'm sure Walton originally recruited her.... I think the door is open for her wherever she wants to go.

 

I thought I would have to keep it secret but another reporter spilled the beans so I will give it up here - It seems that the Black Mamba of Stanford is just about ready to pull the chain and transfer to UF. They are working out the final details as I write this. It is NOT guaranteed but it is very far along. Be still my thumping heart if it happens, I will really look forward to being in OKC watching us thump OU and UT. As a team most of the players for OU are clASSy without the cl and y. Hookem Horns!

 

Dang!!!!! Is this really true? My mind is just over the top with the thought of our returning pitchers plus picking up this outstanding pitcher for 2 years.

Any link to the reporter who has spilled the beans? I'd be worried that the leak was made to hurt rather than help UF unless it is a neutral or favorable reporter for UF. If a UF reporter, it's shameful to potentially interfere with something as huge as this.

This possibility could also account for the rumor circulated at the WCWS that Tim Walton is considering retirement. It's called interference.

 

Never in my wildest imagination would I have thought that could happen, but would be ecstatic if it does.

 

I would go off running and screaming down the street if that were to happen. I'm just going to have to see it to believe it after the Vawter and Maxwell sagas of last year.

UF is being sabotaged on this in real time. Nobody outside of UF wants this to happen other than possibly the player herself.

I don't know how far along this could be as said player has not entered the transfer portal. It may come down to said player wanting to play in the SEC and not the B1G. It also maybe she has exercised her right to check out what UF offers in her major as UF is the closest school to Stanford educationally in the SEC.

It cannot be UF athletics tampering. I don't believe anyone in the UF athletic department would do this.

Still waiting for a link to the reporter who is spilling the beans. I can't imagine that this would be anything more than trying to sabotage the possibility of this transfer happening.

 

The athletic dept doesn’t really have to be directly involved. Back channeling is happening everywhere, and there ain’t much that can be done to stop it. We’ve definitely had some guys in other sports hit the portal and immediately announce UF as their destination. If you don’t think some people had been talking prior to the athletes entering the portal, I think you’re just being naive.

My post was a little tongue in cheek. As long as the conversations being had are several parties removed from our coaching staff, I’m in full support of it. I was finding it a bit humorous that some of the folks here who have lamented Oklahoma’s “cheating” would be in support of landing Canady….before she even entered the portal. Lol
