Looks like the check swing made Kistler about a half-step slow coming out of the box and that prevented her from beating out the grounder.

 

Maxwell mowed us down that inning. If Keagan can get through the bottom of the 8th, I'll be amazed. She's got to be gassed after pitching her 3rd complete game in 3 days - probably over 400 pitches total by now.

 

Meanwhile, I'm sure Texas is enjoying watching these two slug it out.

Great season Ladies, If you go back and read the posts from the start of the season there was no chance to get where they are.
Rothrock will hopefully have some more backup next year, that ladies are has to feel like Jello after the past few weeks.

 

Welp, that’s all she wrote. Hold your heads high, ladies. This year far exceeded almost everyone’s expectations. You are all warriors, and you should be proud.

Kind of ticked off now but what a great season they had! The future is bright.

Thankfully my feed died between innings and I missed it. Very proud of the team's effort and toughness, especially Rothrock as a freshman. Will really miss Wallace - she's such a warrior and certainly one of the best ever to wear Orange and Blue.

 

Crap. You go into these situations understanding how big a task it is and that it's still a great season even if you lose, but in the moment it still really sucks.

 

Absolutely. Some people don’t realize what it does to the pitcher when an obvious strike is called a ball. The pitcher HAS to throw a more perfect strike…and that’s when it gets crushed. Soooo bad by that umpire. Really maddening

I get the sentiment, but screw Oklahoma.

3rd in the nation ain't nothing to sneeze at. What a season of excitement they gave us>

 

Falby, Otis, and Skylar just couldn't get the bats going today. A couple more hits/\baserunners would have been the difference. But the rest of the team picked up the slack and gave it their all.
