Same boat... my son has his x-series at college. I haven't needed a console in 10 years (since NCAA 14). Struggling with wasting $500+ for one game (maybe two, flight sim.) But hard to imagine not getting this game even at my age (older than dirt.)
Same. I never upgraded from the PS2. The only game I play these days is Battlefield. I starting at BF1, then BFV, and now BF2042, all on PC. Hell, I built the thing just to play BF1 when it came out. Oh well. PS5 it is. My birthday is in July and my GF has been asking me what I want. With the game releasing in July, I guess it all works out in the end. I'll post my gamer tag once I get the PS5 and get it set up.
Yep, it's always one game that does, for the PS4 it was Red Dead 2, I just had to play it, guess for the PS5 it's this
Another OG player needing a next-gen console. Going for the Xbox X. Hoping for some kind of deal off Ebay. It does sting, paying all that for one game, but I'm not sitting this one out. I'll play as UF for a while, but once I'm back in shape it'll be Hawaii or New Mexico for Dynasty, you need a weak program to build up over the long haul.
With the time money and effort spent, I could have several coolers of fish and days on the water with the guys.
I hear ya. I'm not a binge gamer. I doubt I'll be able to play more than a game or two in one sitting. I know a few people that do it for hours on end. I can't do it. Lol.
Madden or college game day is not so bad but some of those damn games will just suck the life right out of you
You can get the Xbox series S instead. Still next gen, just no disc drive so you would download the game to the hard drive. They go for about 250 or less if you get one used at GameStop.
Thanks. Back when I had consoles (up to PS2), I always preferred PS over Xbox. Didn't like the xbox controller. It was awkward, lol.
If the ps5 is more your fancy they also sell one without the disc drive as well. Prices vary but that’s also an option.
It's a step down, for sure. Check the specs. If you just want to play the game, an S should be fine, though. X does 4k, S does not. I have a lot of Blurays and like the idea of having a backup player.
