Does anyone have a link to the list of Gasso underlings that she has defeated as head coaches? I can't find a simple list, just audio file interviews that I don't have time for. I know there are coaches like Deifel that were graduate assistants, they wouldn't count that as beating a former assistant would they?

Patti Gasso defended her decision not to use Kelly Maxwell in a Monday showdown to advance to the Wednesday finals series. I don't agree with her. All she did was to show the vulnerability of her staff outside of Maxwell as the Gators handled Gasso's whole staff approach. If the Gators can handle Maxwell, it could end up in a mammoth upset in the WCWS semifinal:

"We've got a staff," Gasso explained of sitting Maxwell. "I have to show the staff that I believe in them. I know what we need. Kelly cannot take us all the way. I have to get these pitchers on the field. I've got to get them on the mound. I've got to get them the experience or we aren't going anywhere."

I hope Tim Walton doesn't see and get influenced by these Patti Gasso comments. UF has to dance with who took them to the party, Keagan Rothrock. As much as I like Ava Brown moving onward in her UF career, she does not give the Gators their best chance of winning. UF has at most 4 more games. Rothrock is my pitcher until she needs relief and Brown is my backup. This is not the time to be developing the whole staff. It's win or go home time.

Cocky per the norm for the sooners:

On the plus side for the Sooners, four-time All-American Tiare Jennings hit her 10th home run in WCWS history (second all-time) and the 97th of her career (third on the all-time NCAA list).

"We're just resetting," Jennings said of Tuesday's approach. "We know a game plan. We didn't stick with it today. But the good thing about this is we have another day. We know who they're going to throw, what's going to happen. It's already written. We're just going to go out there and focus on what we can do."
