Raelin Chaffin is ranked 31st on Soft Ball America’s Tranfer Portal player rankings. Emma Stood is not listed in the top 50 ranked transfers.
Consider Dot Richardson for what? I've met her several times, she's super nice, but loves to toot her own horn. She would get on PA and announce during games here in the Clermont area. This was during the early days of the Pro Softball player days when there were only a few exhibition teams.
Chaffin is surprising to me. Torina has always been really high on her. Though she didn't throw as much this year.
LSU is getting a number Jayden heavener is coming in next season and she’s a top 5 recruit ( I believe #3) and was just named floridas max prep POTY. So that might be a reason why she decided to transfer
Yep. Heavener beat Bartow and our pitcher signee "Red" Oxley in the state 6a championship game. She's really good from everything I've read.
She was the one that Murphy pinch hit for in the 7th inning. She didn't seem happy. Very highly-rated recruit and probably the best offensive player on a team that's not really developing their offensive talent. Perhaps the next Skylar?
Is she someone Florida might try to get. Kenleigh Cahalan: How Alabama softball landed No. 1 recruit for 2023
Ocalaman, as you mentioned in a previous post, Oxley defeated FSU recruit Jazzy Francik in an earlier round and then lost to LSU recruit Heavener. I found an article on the net that ranked the top 20 pitching recruits nationally for this season and all three girls made the list. Incredible that they all played in Florida Class 6A!
That was a head-scratching substitution. I think that on his way to the door for the final time, Murphy was trying to relive the glory he got in the 2009 WCWS when he sent in a freshman pinch-hitter -- who hadn't batted in weeks -- in place of Alll-American outfielder Brittany Rogers with the bases loaded. The freshman hit a grand slam and Murphy was deemed a genius, despite it actually being a bone-head move that just happened to work out. This year, not so much.
Patrick's move made me think of Dan Mullens smartest guy in the room. There is a reason so many excellent players leave Ala.
My guess is that no one leaves. I have ZERO insight and will be a little anxious to see if Alyssa Hovermale and/or Olivia Miller even consider it. Hope not. They both seemed very excited to become Gators.
