Of course it was. People were inclined to look the other way. He lied over and over and over. He cheated on wives, taxes, lawyers, employees, and students in his "college." He walked in on young girls in a dressing room. He said that his own daughter was a [sic] fine piece of a$$. He was caught on tape suggesting how he could get away with lewdly assaulting women. He said despicable things about foreigners and Mexicans in particular. All of this was readily available, but people looked the other way and supported him.

 

Wow, so the RNC must have really hated that Trump Presidency. Look what they were saying about it:

That isnt even close to true as many former Trump supporters have been very vocal that when presented with the growing facts about the man, that we indeed find him deplorable and the facts presented outweighed what we thought we knew previously.

The relevant facts were out prior to the 2016 election. Let's not pretend that suddenly there are enough facts to support the fact the man is a nuisance. People willing to pay attention knew all along.

 

I enjoy reading him. But here's a truism: nothing anyone says here will change anyone's mind. I often wonder why I even bother to post.

I've said many times that liberals and conservatives have worked together over many decades to help create a more perfect union. I have my ideas about how that cordiality has disintegrated into the divide we have these days - poor parenting being one of if not the main reason - but expressing my ideas won't change anyone's mind.....and I might be wrong. One thing is certain, however: Donald Trump is doing the country no favors, but his followers and excuse-makers think he's a savior, some literally. It's frightening, actually.

I never said "suddenly" . I have long mentioned covid as the last straw and my daughters as my main reason for coming to my senses about his lowlife predatory ways.

Abortion on demand is one of the great tragedies of our society. The inability as a society to solve this issue is an absolute disaster.
