Not a fan of his abortion stance, but appreciate his courage to do what he feels is right. Outside of that he would make a viable 3rd option for me.

Him and Kyrsten Sinema were always kind of wolves in sheep’s clothing when in came to the D next to their name, anyways. Not surprising news at all.
Manchin was probably more of a loyal Dem than Sinema, who was just a flake from day 1. This is more about the post-Obama Democratic party basically being non-existent in West Virginia now. He could have done this a long time ago and didn't. Not that I want to give Manchin credit for anything lol.
