Ronald Reagan and Dwight Eisenhower have praised NATO and have embraced the role of the US as leader of the free world. I guess by your definition they as well as every other American president from the end of World War II through 2016 would be considered "communist globalists".
NATO was one of the biggest mistakes this country has ever made. The sooner the U.S. would leave that POS organization the better. The U.S. contributes everything to NATO and gets little to nothing in return.
