Amir is a mismatch nightmare, he's basically a WR with a pass catching TE frame. Very good at basketball too which bodes well at the position if recent history suggests anything.

We had a big time TE decommit but to me Amir and he had same measurable so it didn’t seem like a loss.

I wonder if Lagway is one of those quarterbacks that really keys on a tight end or not?

Got me on that one. I sure hope so, I love it when UF spreads it around with some going to the TE.
I'm thinking Amir is gonna be something between a traditional blocking tight end and a real threat to
catch the ball. ALOT of balls.............

Hof qbs don’t necessarily target te’s. It’s a preference of how the run an offense

Don’t they basically allow that now? Why else do We have a basketball player silhouette on our football jerseys?

For sure, some offenses just use tight ends as an extra grunt, but some offenses feature the position, and of course, Mullen /
Kyle to Pitts was a thing of beauty to watch. That first half of the season was incredible.

I’m more thinking about qbs and their way of running an offfense. Some use the #1 and sometimes a premier te gets 25 catches. It just where in the tree a qb looks.

Back with Urbs too. I don’t know how much is the system and how much is on the qb.

If the oc isn’t scheming to get the te open, it would be hard for the qb to utilize him. Definitely a bit of both.

Who was the TE decommit? I'm drawing a blank, was he better? Amir Jackson had a composite rating of .95 4* #7 TE #87 overall rating and was a pass catching mismatch in HS.

    LOL

Corporate patches supplanting UF / SEC ones.
I'm wondering if the Gators will even be able to keep the name "Gators" once the corporate money whores take over.
Lets rename the Swamp, Florida Rock Field.
Lets rename the Gators - "Disney Croc's".
Lets eliminate the cheap seats and make the entire stadium box seats with a capacity of 25,000.
Which upcoming NFL college light divison do ya'll want to be in? I'm thinking UF, S Carolina, Auburn and UGA.

I know I'm a cranky old goat with this.

For those interested in Josh Pates perspective, I recommend you listen to yesterdays podcast.
He dosen't pull many punches about the filth looking for a "seat" at the big money table.
