I wish that I could understand what you are saying.

WTF does Vernon Maxwell have to do with this?

So you are saying that many of those Negro League guys don't get to surpass guys because they didn't have a chance? And that is OK?

Are you ok with re writing history just to make someone feel bettet? No i dont think you move stats from one league to another. Referencing Vernon was to make the point that you can remove him from the record book but history says he scored all those points

Maybe we disregard all of the stats from when baseball was all white.

Are stats from the Nippon Professional League, aka Japanese Major League, also being considered for inclusion in the MLB record book? As far as hitting stats go, they have been historically inflated due to the lack of quality pitching. Late in their career MLB players have played in that league for years and been stars. Which also illustrates why you can't compare, and more importantly decide equivalency of, stats from different leagues.

Rewriting or amending any form of history doesn't solve a thing. It starts with just being a better person. Something I try and do every day.

Referencing Maxwell is pretty bizarre and a terrible comparison.

The point was changing records to make people feel better or perhaps a little self righteousness is involved.

I don’t have much of an expert opinion or strong interest here, but I think others might argue that the these records were kept separate in the first place to make people feel better.

May as well, since we are already playing the "let's pretend" game.

Let's add the Mexican, Tawain, Korean and Japan Leagues while we're at it.
