Regarding the OP and the economic literacy of Erica's, it should be noted that some economists believe we are in a recession Is the US in Recession Now? Two Prominent Competing Views – MishTalk
You arent one of those "homeschool parents should not get to see the benefits of taxes for education" folks are you? Treadmills seems odd, but I 100% believe a homeschool or co-op that meets state standards irt testing should see the benefit of their tax money.
It's the quarter of a mil for treadmills that pisses me off. Duhsantis did this just to throw more red meat, never really thought it through. It's a money grab at this point. If any of the "other than public school" program wants my tax dollars, they have to meet the same standards as the public schools.
Do public schools in Florida have treadmills? (Honest question). Home school parents should not get special privileges above what they would expect from a public school as far as monetary aid
Does that mean that if you homeschool and have access to the same money as a public school then your house has to be built to the same standards as a public school?
I think it means that your home must meet all legal building codes and that your educational materials should be covered at least. Or an easier way. Just figure what a child costs the school system and give that family a percentage of that amount under the conditions to their child meets the same academic standards. Home school parents will welcome that as generally homeschool kids do great academically.
