When he was Gov. Ric Scott forbade state agencies from including the words climate change in any reports or oral presentations. I remember a state senator (D) torturing some state employee during an environmental hearing asking one leading question after another where the obvious answer was climate change and getting a chuckle at alternative words offered up.

Ft. Lauderdale police shot a BLM protester in the eye socket with a rubber bullet and then lied and said an officer was under attack. In reality, they were just doing what police always do, state violence against black protesters. The lies are being exposed, but it will make no difference. I am sure a majority of the state population, and especially the Governor, approve of what the police did. The protests really angered them

I just sincerely want to know that when things like this happen, are they intentional? I assume that NC admin is intentionally being all 1984 with the war-is-peace speech. And that may be overly optimistic, perhaps admin is indeed that blind to reality. But when an individual does it, in this case says "I hate when speakers just talk about themselves" and then does that for the entire speech, was that on purpose? I tend to believe that individuals are much more likely to be "special" like this, but I have to assume that SOME know they are channeling Orwell. I just can't tell who is legit and who is clowning us.
