Ultimately MAGA is about victimhood. They are largely a group of people who understand that they used to be first at the trough to eat and they aren't any more and it drives them nuts. Of course, they have been misdirected through disinformation to blame the wrong people for their plight.

Trump would have taken the stand, and he would have said the best things, but, alas, he wasn’t allowed to.

Trump is very fragile right now. He's losing court case after court case, apparently because he's been committing "crimes", whatever that means. Also, he may have raped a woman. He may be injecting himself with bleach to stay healthy, for all we know. He has all of the celebrity appeal of a toad. Can you really expect a man of great dignity, maybe one of the best 60 U.S. presidents ever, to survive being tortured with kazoos and rubber chickens?

The big sell-off has begun. One $10 million jet: sold, to a mega-donor. Another 50 jets, and he's free and clear, at least until he loses his next court case.

Eric Trump makes the news with a historic Memorial Day Tribute, agreeing with a post that the Trumps had "given up everything" to save America, then saying that they would do it again. This is one heroic family. Giving up everything for their country. No telling how many Trumps have died in military service, or how many countless hours of community service they complete selflessly. They are now a family with nothing. Can someone please send them something? Anything? Food, diapers, wet wipes? And get something for the rest of Donald Trump's family while you are at it. This family will stop at nothing to get the truth out (of the picture). Such a modest family.

An article on Trump's threats towards the media (and democracy itself). He's creating quite the Fuhrer here. (Oops, did I misspell that?)

Those Trumps really know how to pick a post and repeat it with their endorsement.

    Here is the post:

I wonder how many people saw Trump's recent post and think it's abnormal for the prosecution to get the last word?

Donald Trump seethes at not getting final word at trial: "Very unfair"

"WHY IS THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT ALLOWED TO MAKE THE FINAL ARGUMENT IN THE CASE AGAINST ME? WHY CAN'T THE DEFENSE GO LAST? BIG ADVANTAGE, VERY UNFAIR. WITCH HUNT," Trump wrote on the platform.

It is common practice in criminal trials for prosecutors to summarize their closing arguments last, as the burden of proof falls on them.

I’ll be honest. I’m surprised by how silent the Trumpeteers here have been on that quote.

Many seem to view the cases involving Trump the same as the elections: the only way Trump could possibly lose is if there is a conspiracy to rig the outcome. Therefore, any time Trump loses, it must have been rigged. But I wonder what they're going to say if Trump prevails?

They don't hear what they don't want to hear. Same as the insults of veterans and his praise for dictators who imprison or kill their opposition. Sadly, the dems, and the true conservatives pubs, fail to make them hear

I am noticing a switch in conversation with trumpeters. They have gone from he is railroaded and innocent to all politicians do it. And from trump is great to trump is bad but he is better than Biden. I hope gradually they all return to sanity.

That's how it works in Florida, too, under the current rule. We refer to it as "getting the sandwich." Years ago under the OLD rule, if the defendant introduced no evidence and either called no witnesses or the defendant only testified, the defendant got the sandwich. Trump's team presented at least one witness, so even under the old rule the prosecution would get first and last.

So in Florida today, if the defense does not call any witnesses (including the defendant), does that mean the prosecution only gets the one closing? And if that's true, does the prosecution still get to go second?

No, the State gets first and last, the defendant goes in the middle. That happens regardless of whether the defendant presents witnesses or not. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

OT- sort of- why is it always Florida man. wonder if he still collects a pension while in Russia

Russian disinformation sites linked to former Florida deputy sheriff, research finds (msn.com)

More than 150 fake local news websites pushing Russian propaganda to U.S. audiences are connected to John Mark Dougan, an American former law enforcement officer living in Moscow, according to a research report published Wednesday by NewsGuard, a firm that monitors misinformation. The websites, with names like DC Weekly, New York News Daily and Boston Times, look similar to those of legitimate local news outlets and have already succeeded in spreading a number of false stories surrounding the war in Ukraine. Experts warn they could be used to launder disinformation about the 2024 election.

In an interview over WhatsApp, Dougan denied involvement with the websites. “Never heard of them,” he said.

Dougan, a former Marine and police officer, fled his home in Florida in 2016 to evade criminal charges related to a massive doxxing campaign he was accused of launching against public officials and was given asylum by the Russian government. Most recently, Dougan has posed as a journalist in Ukraine’s Donbas region, testifying at Russian public hearings and making frequent appearances on Russian state TV.

He’s now part of a small club of Western expats who have become purveyors of English-language propaganda for Russia. Researchers and cybersecurity companies had previously linked Dougan to the sites. The NewsGuard report published Wednesday is the latest to implicate him in the fake news ring.

World’s biggest victim. Just heard him speak to the media and everything was blamed on Biden and everyone else being corrupt besides the sole individual responsible. Can any Trump supporters on here tell me why you all think this guy is an “alpha” male? All he does is whine when he gets caught doing illegal shit and blame everyone but himself. This dude also dodged the draft due to bone spurs but has the nerve to criticize our veterans. Biggest snowflake on planet Earth.
