Dems are freaking out over Joe Biden's re-election chances. This might account for the current rumors about Biden needing to be changed out of the nomination. To me, the problem is who do you replace Biden with. Kamala Harris? LOL! This is going on at a time when the Dems agreed to have an early online nominating process to get Joe Biden on Ohio's ballot. This would check out to me even if Biden's numbers weren't as negative as they are right now. Since 2016 at least, I feel like Democrats have been anxious and stressed out even before/during/after elections that ultimately go pretty well for them. Republicans, in contrast, have seemed to be over-confident (either by predicting red waves that didn't materialize or declaring victory after losing).
This is a big reason Biden is going to lose. He’s relying on scare tactics instead of common sense policy. It’s a far cry from a cult saying the world is going to end. It may sound good to you, but it’s not a good campaign strategy. People see through it.

They probably would be in panic mode and be looking for a tactful way to replace Biden before the Convention … but then the Republicans nominated a boorish, unstatesmanlike, unprofessional guy who already lost to Biden once instead of reasonable, moderate professional like Haley. If I was a Democrat, I would feel very comfortable that this election was sewn up even if Biden dies between the Convention and the election. It’s the GOP who ought to be looking at ways to get around the results of the primaries and caucuses to knock Trump off the ticket.

Can’t stand either guy. Biden has always been a mediocre politician on the wrong side of many issues who is failing in front of us, and Trump is a narcissistic prickish oaf who makes every waking moment of every day about him. It’s mind numbing these are our choices while the rest of the world looks on in horror.
Must respectfully disagree on the last part. Biden is doing OK. Pretty good on Ukraine, too much spending but some decent legislation. Minimal caves to the left. Won't go silly team cheerleader on the economy, but he gets out of the way plenty enough. Handling of Israel/Gaza is.....open to debate. Won't point out the obvious contrasts with his opponent. But this narrative of Biden failure is false, IMO. America can do worse than having a crusty old establishment pol in the WH. For his governance, that's largely what Obama actually was. Other than his aggressive work doing the beneficial ACA.
I'm not a huge Biden fan but handling of Israel/Gaza was a lose lose no matter what he (or any president) did. Big pass from me on that.
My comments about Biden being on the wrong side of issues date back much further than his 3.5 years as POTUS. His foreign policy instincts have always been bad, just ask Robert Gates.

You can see it when Biden's campaign decides to hold a press conference with Robert De Niro as their spokesperson right outside the courthouse. When was the last time an incumbent President resorted to getting a Hollywood star to hold a press conference outside the court house of a rival's own trial? Did Biden just set the precedent here that others will follow from now on? What was the point? Was it to sway Republicans, because if anything, it just galvanized them because it proves Biden was behind this all along. It was to sway Independents and the initial consensus is that it didn't have the affect the dems were hoping for. Again, it only highlights that Joe Biden is behind all of the trials. Why else bring in a movie star to make a closing argument other than to obstruct.

And the crazy part is that before this, all the Trumpies were really really rational and recognized the differences in jurisdictions, that cases were presented to citizens in grand juries, etc. etc. Robert de Niro is going to be the thing that makes Trumpies totally disregard the rule of law*!!!! * Checks notes.
