If an RPI issue, UF's NCAA RPI is 30 and C of C's NCAA RPI is 42. Warren Nolan SOS: I suspect SOS had just as much to do with it. UF played the #1 SOS and Charleston played the 112th SOS. I was just hoping UF did not take the slot of a more deserving team. That did not happen which makes me much happier with the Gators being in the field. The Gators have been given new life. I hope they make the best of it. I do know this, I wouldn't want to be playing a UF team being a motivated underdog in a regional.
He’s very good but their conference they plan is very different than our conference. It’ll be interesting to see if he pitches around.Jac. They’ve not faced anyone like him. Jac is probably 8-0 in their league.
Of course maybe Nebraska will save him for their game 2 matchup with rival Okla St. Not worrying about Florida who barely had a winning record.
Yeah I thought it was the same year, I remember being a fan of Gordon's and liking Nebraska's chances of winning it all that season. Glad they didn't get past UF though.
Heard it pointed out that Stillwater is a very good hitters park that has hosted some wild regional games the last couple years. Could benefit a team that likes to swing for the fences.
Listened to d1 baseball selection reaction podcast today about the Stillwater regional. They expect a ton of runs to be scored. And expect the ballpark to cater to Cags homer power. For reference on run scoring in this ball park, they said two years ago in the Stillwater regional Ok State was down 13-0 in a game vs Missouri State but won 28-13. So, every team will likely score next weekend.
