(SB) GAME THREAD: GAINESVILLE SUPER REGIONAL - UF vs. Baylor

They certainly did their best to piss me off lol. In the end I muted them and turned to the voice of the greatest super Gator fan of all, Mr Kyle Crooks!

 

A colonoscopy post, followed by a biggest pain in the ass post. I see what you did there.

 

One of the scrappiest teams I have seen in a while.....that SS made a bunch of tough plays look easy that really kept our run production down. OF's laying out for balls all weekend

Yep, top 4 in the order 1-10. They did have 4 walks tho so not all bad.
Great experience to not play your best and still win.

 

I would have held base running/not running practice for an hour when the game ended before allowing any celebrations.

 

Glad to get the win. Baylor is a nice blue collar team. Gators had to work..........

 

Great for Goelz as a defensive sub to catch that last out.

 

Baylor truly played a great series and gave us far more than we wanted. I hope all the Baylor ladies, after the tears and disappointment hold their heads high. They had a phenomenal season, exceeded expectations of their own and showed tremendous fight.

Hopefully Walton will conduct an intense session on fundamentals and base running before boarding the flight to OKC!?! We all make mistakes, but we continue to commit way too many blunders! Today’s game could have easily become a run rule win. Yes, Baylor was scrappy, fought hard and deserves a lot of credit. Our approach at the often leaves much to be desired! But, happy to be on to OKC!! Always Great to be a Florida Gator!!

I saw that hug. Sportsmanship and humanity at its best. I’d take Binford in a second if she wants to come. With talent present and incoming CTW is going to be very selective in the portal. Maybe he saw that hug too. Talent is great and Binford has plenty but chemistry is priceless.

 

Plus she could give us much needed practice against the change up lol.

 

I hear what you’re saying and I don’t completely disagree but…This Gator team has SHATTERED all expectations and they are one of the last 8 teams that will be in the WCWS. They have earned a moment to celebrate their achievements, we should celebrate with them. CTW is their coach, we have a Skylar! They will be prepared and ready, have faith my friends.
