But hell will freeze over before 960608 gets concerned about the vile nonsense he spews.

Trump for his rallies; he lies, spews out the same tired insults, and talks incessantly about being a victim. Not much of a speech.

I didn't realize that was real. But it was. And for the record it was before. Lol

Since I'm a little late posting to this thread I apologize if this is redundant. The reaction of real libertarians to Donald Trump shouldn't be all that surprising. Libertarians believe that the government shouldn't interfere in personal decisions and that includes the right of women to determine reproductive healthcare. While Trump has been all over the issue personally going from pro-choice in the '90s to indirectly supporting near absolute bans his current position on the issue runs completely counter to that of traditional libertarians. Similarly, on the issue of immigration while recognizing the need to screen immigrants for the purpose of security traditionally the Libertarian Party has supported a policy of near open borders based on the rationale that the government shouldn't interfere labor markets. I also suspect that libertarians aren't very supportive of Trump's authoritarianism or his attempt to subvert the peaceful transition of power following a free and fair election even though they do not support the policies of either of the major political party candidates.

Did the people that hired that Russian guy to post here find themselves an American? It's like a full time job for some. At least there's that colored text giveaway to alert on what not to read.

Might have to do another block. Never expected to do so, but the few so far have been Godsends.

I struggle to think of a single issue that Trump and Libertarians overlap on. If Trump ever presented an actual healtcare plan, possibly that? Maybe laissez fare foreign policy?

Because Trump is such a feckless leader, his inability to move forward on policy goals is almost the same as being libertarian and not having policy goals?

Yep, and for the record the actual motion I insinuated wasn’t to reject trump which was edited by a Mod, the motion read : Tell donald trump to go have intercourse with himself (or a word with similar meaning). Indicates to me that, despite the upthread spin they pretty much hate the guy. One thing I agree with their party on.

Trump thinks that states should decide on abortion. In other words he has no problem with draconian restrictions of the right of women to determine their reproductive healthcare so long as the restrictions are imposed by states. I'm so old I remember when Southern states used to argue that states should have the right to determine whether schools should be segregated by race or whether that states should have the right to impose Jim Crow segregation laws. I would also add that if a Republican Congress enacted a national law restricting the right to abortion Trump would sign it. I also have little doubt that Trump would support using the Comstock Act to restrict the mailing of the abortion drugs misoprostol and mifepristone.

You might want to watch the video. I don’t like Trump, but that guy’s description did not match the video at all.

You may be right; that’s why I made the disclaimer, because I have no interest of watching a Trump speech. I’ve heard enough of him over the past 8 years.

“He was seething, he was angry and lost, he couldn’t handle it. … He clenched his teeth in anger and started attacking the audience. ... A weak pathetic vile disgusting loser.”

I did not see that demeanor in the video. The guy’s last sentence shows he’s not looking at it objectively. He hates Trump and is going to spin it in the worst possible way.

That’s why so little reporting can be trusted these days from either side.

I'm kind of surprised the OP, @ETGator1, has not followed up with the results of the Libertarian voting. Aftterall, this was a huge deal of historic proportions. With Trump's strong, "super professional" (laughing as I type that) push to be their nominee, he garnered six (6) votes. He did manage to squeak out a victory over Stormy Daniels, but lost to a guy named "Toad" by 10 votes.

But wait, there's more. The orange psychotic claimed he would have won the nomination if he was not already the republican's presumptive nominee.

Trump says he 'would have absolutely gotten' Libertarian Party nomination if he could have run, slams RFK Jr.

Absolutely. This is worth the watch. More of Trump insulting the people there and the reaction when he is nominated are pricelss.
